WnW DH9.a Ninak

Hi all!

Having almost finished the Fokker E.III and the fact that I've got a few days off, I decided to crack open the Ninak.

Got all the HGW upgrades available. The IP panel is fantastic. Sand down the plastic bezels. Glue the PE plate one.

Then a wood grain decal, followed by PE circles for the instruments. Then the kits' decals. Followed by PE bezels.

Al it needs not is the compass and the copper switches.

Pretty impressed so far and I've only covered the IP!

Cheers,

Jeroen

The Ninak! High on my wish list and I may buy one soon but Jeroen, this I will watch first. That panel looks fantastic and it can only be the sign for more good things to come! I will follow with interest! Cheers Jeroen, Jeroen ~darn, that really is confusing ;-)

Calibrate the altimeter, Jeroen - it reads about 50 ft higher than where you are.... :D

Fantastic panel, indeed.

Will be looking forward to the rest of this build.

Hi George,

Thnx! Cees just pointed out to me that the instruments were often positioned in angles in the ww1 IP's.

Just had a look at the WnW site, and he's right!

I positioned all the instrument's as indicated by WnW, but maybe they used the Hendon machine as an example.

Check this out:

Nice start Jeroen! Where do you find the time, cranking out all those models??!

And when-oh-when will you build o model without a ventilator but with a blowtorch....

Hi Erik!

I don't actually. That's why this is going to be a long long term project.

Here's what I just got:

!Be31o5g!mk~$(KGrHqUH-DsErgrIt5JNBK+DmVG

It's a replica WW1 Territorial Force War Medal for Captain Andrew Glover Inglis ASC who transfered from the ASC to the RFC.

It's his plane that I will be making and now resides at Hendon.

Cheers!

Jeroen

You're too slick for me. How do you maintain soft skin with your output? ;)

I don't! I have Zap a Gap on my knuckles. Artist oils under my nails. And X-acto cuts in my finger prints.

Next time i shake your hand I will however check your moisture level, cuticles, calluses, and other wear and tear.

Just so you know...

And here's the finished IP:

Lookee Nicee! Looking at the pic it would seem that with some more pinwash you can get the brass switches and text-plates jump out some more? Anyway, according to my humble taste... ;)

So.... You snuck into his wardrobe and snicked a piece out of a pair of his trousers then !!

nooo.... i woke up in the middle of the night and there he was. Standing next to my bed only wearing a pair of brown knickerbockers.

That's James for you...
