Thanks for sharing Jeff, I will take my daughter there this weekend , hopefully taking some decent shots if the weather permits.

yeah , it would be great to see it again Martin, I know the last time I saw it , she was getting rough, I hope it can be saved, as the 101, and the S55 too....

Just a shame it always comes down to the last minute before something is done to save an aircraft or a piece of history, even it is just storage inside until money is raised for the restoration.

And that’s a very early short nose version too.

Once upon a time, the Clunk was the only all weather interceptor and in service. Everything else was a day fighter like the Sabre.

I always wondered why nobody restored one of these to flying condition.

Of course the first thing that happened to them was that their Orendas were pulled to be used in the various Sabres still out there.

And the Clunk takes two Orendas. Might be tough to find, these days.
