CrankyCrafstman Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 Hey all I have a question for all the knowledgeable people on here. What aircraft did the Allies face during operation "Torch"? I have a Trumpeter Bf109G-2 trop and would like to know if this would have been used during operation "Torch" or if it came out later in the war. Also what armament did the Bf109G-2 trop have? Thanks 1
1to1scale Posted January 10, 2019 Posted January 10, 2019 So quick answer, its possible based on production. 1
GazzaS Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 one 20mm MG 151 firing through the propeller hub and 2 X MG 17 7.92 mm over the engine. Numerous Rustzatz available, too. Here is a G2 in Tunisia: And here are some brand-spanking new ones fresh from the factory in desert camo scheme: From a former Michigander... (Still a Detroit Lions fan) Gaz 3

nmayhew Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 FYI E-7 has a fuel tank underneath, not a bomb (in which case it would be an E-4/B...) 2

GazzaS Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 I wasn't there... But I would guess something hit the rudder hard enough to collapse the inner structure but without tearing it, leaving the canvas to sag. Cheers! Gaz
