Spitfire Posted February 11 Posted February 11 After many years I re read James Clavells Shogun, and it was just as good as it was when I first read it. Unfortunately it makes picking my next read difficult, so I will take the easy way out and probably go for Tai Pan. Cheers Dennis 1
KevinM Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Dennis I like reading Clive Cussler they take me to places I have never or ever will go I particularly like the the Sam/Remi Fargo series currently reading"The Mayans Secrets"."The Lost Empire" was probably one of the best in the series yet.The movie "Sahara" with Matthew McConaughey was one of his books and "Raise the Titanic". 3
GusMac Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I remember the film of Raise the Titanic as there was a lot of publicity at the time about how much money it lost. The quote I remember is from Lew Grade who funded and produced it and said 'it would have been cheaper to lower the Atlantic!' 1 1
