  1. OK folks, The last few tries at group builds have been dismal failures. I like the GB concept and I think they can be a lot of fun. What can we do to encourage participation and encourage people to finish their kits? Prizes? Huge sums of cash? Exotic dancers? Please throw anything out there, I'd like to do one in the near future. We had some great group builds in the early days of LSM, would love to run another successful one.
  2. Gorgeous, really nicely weathered!
  3. That really looks good, John. This one has been on my want list for awhile, hoping I can find one at a good price at Nats.
  4. Welcome back, guys! Great to see some "fresh meat"! Big fan of both your guys work so I'm looking forward to your posts.
  5. Very nice work!
  6. Jeroen, yes helps immensely. The Mr. Surfacer 1500 will be the final quality control check but the Sharpie marker really helps bring any flaws out.
  7. Great review!
  8. Almost ready for the fun part! Had a little more trouble than usual blending in the inboard cannon covers, wish Hasegawa would have engineered this differently. Since the kit only comes with smooth tread wheels which weren't that common on the F-8's I went with the Eduard Brassin wheels which are really nicely detailed. Since the set comes with a separate tail wheel I decided to cut out the molded in wheel on the kit part which should look much better when finished. Just need to finish up the dashboard , glue the windscreen in and it will be ready for the first coat of primer and the HGW rivet set.
  9. Wow! This is truly state state of the art stuff!
  10. Thanks, guys! Unfortunately all but invisible once the cooling fan is installed but oh well!
  11. Yes! Really looking good, in the home stretch!
  12. Gorgeous work, looking forward to the book!
  13. I'm kind of the same way, Nick. The 335 was at least produced in small numbers and actually flew so I'll fudge a little to do this one!
  14. HKM just released the decal options:
  15. Another of these guys. That's six Dragon 110's in the stash, I'm done! (maybe)
  16. Looking forward to meeting you, Butch!
  17. Still just amazed by the quality of work here.
