My last build is always my best build.

Tiran 5. Primer and paint.

Thank you Jonathon. I am happy with the vehicle build. Just the figures that I cringe about. -

Figures done (yech!!!!!!!! ). Nothing like DSLR photography to confirm you suck at something. Tracks weathered up a little bit, I don't do the "over weathering" thing. Detail painting, Vallejo washes and MIG pigments. Little bit of rust and dust. "Burned" up the exhaust with about 5 different shades of pigments then misted the whole build with white mineral spirits to affix the powdery stuff. Dried with a hair dryer as I was running out of time heading into IPMS Ontario (Ca.) show. Dull coat it with MM aryl flat. -

Mark. Coffee hadn't kicked in when I read your question. Those bolts came with the Legends T-55 Fender Tank set. Nice touch. -
Suarez is a effing punk.

Thank you Steve. Was clearly surprised. Some fine builds there. -
I have a love/hate feeling about flying these old warbirds. Because when their gone, they're gone.

You'll be fine Ralph. Been following your Junkers build. Armor is much more forgiving as you can jack something up and just call it "battle damage". -

Thank you Mike. Was quite surprised. Coming in second behind only Jim Wechsler is like a first place to me. Will post pictures in the "finished" forum after I get my camera issue's worked out. -
More stuff to drive me crazy.

Bought you guys some Newcastle. Can't figure how to get them there so I'll have to drink them myself tonight.

Powdered Weathering Pastels (What do you use?)
Paulster replied to RalphSarc's topic in Modelling Discussion
"Crap" is kind Dave. They do have great color selection. I have them all. Even the flesh tone ones. I did have success with them on the exhaust of my Centurion. -
I'm thinking M4A3 Rick.

BTW Ralph. I was given a couple of bottles of Vallejo washes and found them to be exceptional. -

I'm even going to start venturing into MIG filters/washes and oils. -

The problem I have come across using pastels is that they are colored chalk. Any type of overcoat and "POOF!", their gone. Pigments are actually dried and refined paint and will hold up to clear coats. In my experience that is. -

I need to digress a little from my statement. 90% MIG Productions use do I. (Dr. Seuss or Yoda, take your pick) I do dabble a little with Tamiya Clear Smoke and their Weathering sets. I have a little problem with the weathering sets as it seems difficult to get the product from case to subject. Once in a while I'll break out the Rust-All. -

I believe a twin Red Start in this scale is overdue. I would hope the market would support this. -
Congrats to the Dutch for topping their group 3-0 with a 2-0 win over Chile. Now I suppose you want everybody buying y'all the next round.
