  1. Hi guys, I was browsing all the fine builds here yesterday and forgot to update my own progress. i´m in such a ¨"riveted" mode that I continued on with that leaving the cockpit for the time being. All the surfaces minus the mainwing, siderudder, elevators and tailplan are done. The mainwing comes in 8 parts I had some issues getting everything to lineup in all dimensions, so I´ll need some time filling and sanding everything smooth. all the best Ted

  14. Thanks Ralph! Well, after a teidious rivet session, a sore back and finding out that at least the smithsonian Ta152H-0 has dubble rows of rivets( I pretend I didn´t see it:P). the fuselage is done...Pew! Now it´s time for the cockpit. I´ll use most of the kit parts except the I.P and side consoles. I just found several photo etch in the box I never knew that I had(!). it is the cockpit, service access panels and landingflaps.. I don´t know if I dare to try my hands at that- it looks quite coplicated.. I´m not sure wich machine I will go with.. Normally I don´t like captured A/C, but Jeroen´s 202 looks quite good and the American Ta152H-1 looks very messy, dirty wich gives me great oppertunity to work on my weathering techniqes.. what you fine gentlemen think, any suggestions? any how, here´s the last we see of the unpainted fuselage before priming. I found that if I gently sand down the rivets with fine mesh or such and then ink and seal with semigloss I have(I think) a very convincing pre shade that don´t come thru the paint( I use ink makers- sometimes it comes tru and ruins the finish). All the best Ted
  15. Thanks Mikster, For me it's soothing and makes it easier to paint, shade and weather.. Wackyracer: I went along all tooo fast with the riveting.. looking at the Smithsonian fluselage there should be dubble rows on allmost all longitudinal strentheners on the fuselage.. I don't know if I will correct this on mine but thought you might wanted to know. Happy new year! Ted
  16. That's right what he just said! Incredible..and then some- how big is this thing? Cheers Ted
