  1. So, really in NATO only Canada and the USA are flying F-18s? Or is Spain still? I still feel Canada needs a twin jet for Canadian interceptor ops. One engine doesn’t cut it 1800miles out over the empty arctic. That’s my one beef against the 16, Gripen, and 35.
  2. Interesting. You’d think they’d still be extremely relevant in the real world. USAF and Luftwaffe pilots describe a world class dogfighter that, with Western avionics, Radar, fire control, etc, would be a force to be reckoned with. Of course, that was 10 years ago and the day of the dogfighter is long gone
  3. Thanks, Mark!! Now to the turret shells. Front is painted over, rear turret is an empty observation shell.
  4. Well, the Legacy Hornet is a proven design that’s still extremely relevant. Canada uses theirs for bombing nasty folks back into the Stone Age, so they’ll work just fine. Plus they need some o pull alert duty for NORAD. What ever happened to that bunch of fully Westernized Luftwaffe MiG-29s? They spent a fortune turning them into some very potent NATO birds, then promptly dumped them all for F-16s.
  5. Tony, you’re already light years ahead of my ability with molding. I’ll be coming to you for advice soon enough
  6. Phenomenal job so far, Mike. Truly awe inspiring. It actually looks like it could be sitting up on steel benches, in the corner of some run down hangar, getting restored on the weekends.
  7. Exactly, John. Just remember though, that the hole where the HVAR penetrated the hull should be pushed inwards around the edges...
  8. They had new Super Bugs on order but cancelled the order over Boeing objecting to them selling the C-Series to Delta. What a stupid joke. Both the Canadian Government and Boeing.
  9. I know jack squat about tanks.
  10. Day fighter, trainer, all weather interceptor, bomber. nice bunch and great pic
  11. Greatest early Cold War interceptor ever built.
  12. Nightmares of models past.... Went looking for some Airscale placards, dug through a bottom drawer and found these nasty old parts. Plus a long stalled Canadair Tutor project.
  13. Kais, thank you, thank you, thank you for showing us that there is a use for the Dragon 51D. I’m glued to this thread, sir. This will be interesting.
  14. Well, we’re inland, so we should be safe from a...
  15. Tony, you’re whipping this one into shape. It looks amazing with your normal attention to detail.
  16. Mike, it was a real postwar workhorse. Drone controller, SAR bird, Maritime Patrol, ASW Patrol, photo mapping, etc. FM104 shows as a rescue ship, but according to her history, she was mostly a Maritime Patrol ship. No drones from this one, though. That video almost looks like Edwards. Definitely the Southwest.
  17. I've got two of the 1/48 CF-100s as well. One long wing and one short wing. Just waiting.... All those kits have great shapes. They just need plenty of love and affection, you're right. I bought a 1/48 Tutor also, along with a few resin sets for them, thinking I'd buy more than one. Those resin sets are impossible to find today. Cockpit, intakes, and speed boards with wells.
  18. I have that same 1/48 Hobbycrap monster. I've been waiting and praying for the Mastercasters sets to come out so I could do my build.... The shape is actually spreety decent, but the interior, wheel bays, and gear leaves much to be desired.
