  1. Don’t worry about the hijack, folks. Bring it on. This is now a C-47 thread.
  2. Cool. Thanks Dave
  3. Astounding work being performed here. LSM is the place to be for Lanc stuff, no doubt. We have some incredible builds spinning up, and there's a bunch of us over on this side of the pond getting ready for our builds as well. As a large Scale Model builder, and avowed love of the heavies, I've never been happier. Ju-88s, He-111s, B-17 x2, B-25s, a plethora of Mosquito variants, a B-24, soon to be two, and now a Lanc. Seriously guys, 10 years ago who'd have ever thought this day would come? And we're expecting HPH to bring us an SM-79, HGW is bringing us an A-20, we have a C-47, Gotha G.lV, Felixstowe, and soon to be released Bloody Paralyzer. It doesn't get any better than this, folks! I'm a very, very happy man right now. And plenty lighter in the billfold as well.
  4. Well, just dropped a bunch of cash on some modules. We’ll see how it works, and get a few more if it looks promising. We’ll see. For thatkind of money, it should make a self cleaning bench. Oh wait, it is self cleaning... Cleaned by my self.
  5. That scheme’s in the kit, but you need to mask your own stripes
  6. They don’t magically reorganize themselves?
  7. Now that's a big Organ!
  8. Hubert wins the prize!! I was waiting and wondering who would be first to mention the paradox... Big expensive stash, and a bench that looks like an old abandoned Soviet airfield after the wall came down
  9. Yeah yeah yeah, everybody pile on poor Ernie. Danny, I don't mind setting myself up to be the laugh of the day.
  10. As I said, nasty. No wonder I spilled glue on my F-5F! I’m sorry I don’t have pics of the bench alone. Just background shots
  11. I’ve been pouring over the HobbyZone USA site and this gonna cost a pretty penny. But, once and done I suppose, so, first order of business, order the obvious and get started. I’ve decided to redo my model bench. As in a whole new bench, with the HobbyZone system rigged up to avoid the junky bench I’ve had for the best part of 10 years. I work best with a bit of controlled chaos on my bench, I want a bottle or brush right at my fingertips when working, and not have to go digging in a drawer for every tool or color bottle. Just not the post-Chernobyl look I’ve attained. Time to join the rest of you. Heck, even Carl’s bench looks spotless compared to mine.
  12. Will the 36mm racks fit normal Gunze Mr. Color and Tamiya acrylic glass jars? The smaller 26mm are for Vallejo and MRP?
  13. But uh oh, what did I just feel under my cloth.... No matter how much you check, you always miss something. Rookie mistake. So out comes the wet paper and a bit of touch up paint, this time with a little better paint mix and airbrush control.
  14. Well, it’s looking spiffy. A bit of 66 on the nose and is say she’s good for clear gloss.
  15. Ya, I’m looking at the HZ website now, and it’s interesting. You can drop a small fortune on those things. But it looks like good stuff. Are there dealers in the USA or do we order straight from them?
  16. I see y’alls benches with your brushes, tools, and paint jars all organized and all. So where do you get those, or do you build them? I use Gunze and Tamiya paint for the most part, so something that fits their jars would be cool... Ideas?
  17. Here’s the aftermath. Just pulled it all up. This will look decent later tonight. This is posted for posterity. OK, I piled a bit on for effect, but it’s being fixed right now
  18. John, you might as well tell us what you're gonna start on this Sunday, because this'll be done by then.
  19. I'm seriously ashamed of my model area. I can't generally start a kit and just work on it alone until it's done. JohnB does that to perfection, and it's amazing to me that someone can do that. Me, I work till I burn out, move to something new and work on that till I burn out. It's just how I do it. Except for GBs and such. If everyone's working together, then the excitement stays higher. Plus, because I like resin, getting burned out on certain aspects of it happens, and all I can say is that I have to shift around. Sad...
  20. Tell me about it. I'm not working on the B-36, I just took a pic when it got here. But the Tupolev, yes. All I can say is that it's insanity.
  21. At the office now, but I’ll take a pic tonight. My bench is generally maintained in a modern “Post Chernobyl” style, and once a year it gets cleaned whether it needs it or not. So for me it’s not “What’s on your bench?”, it’s more like “What isn’t on your bench?” these are a couple months back. I'll get a whole room shot for the full effect
