  1. Either Dauntless or Avenger. LOL
  2. Hubert, I thought of you when I was looking at my HPH Lunak kit. Civilian scheme and racing stripes...
  3. Awesomeness! I always thought the HPH kit in that scheme would be cool.
  4. Who’s there this year? Blues, T/Birds, S/Birds? There’s usually one of the three...
  5. And we ar growing very quickly now! Personally, I think that’s a great idea. We may be all on the cusp of something huge. But it’s easy for me to say because I know absolutely nothing about page design and website maintenance/support.
  6. You need to do one, Rob, seriously. If you can't get a good IM model of a subject you love, then you do what you need to do. There's a guy our conducting a clinic on how to graft a spine and do the mods on the new tool Revell kit. Then there's my way, the way I think is easier and more idiot proof, at least for me..
  7. Kudos on the FAL, you were close. It’s a Canadian FN C1A1, the Canuck version of the FAL. The others are: M16A1, M3 Grease Gun, MP40, and a Longbranch No.4 Mk.1 SMLE. they’re all true classics that every person on this forum should know by heart. The bottom FAL is a US Army T-48 trials rifle. My C1A1 is sporting the active IR PAS-4 system in one pic. That sight is semi common for the M14, but almost impossible to find for the C1A1
  8. Very nice. The surface texture is phenomenal! As long as Russia keeps building tanks based on T-72, the world will be a safer place.
  9. Martin, you of all people know of the joys of carving your own airplane out of a block of material... In the meantime, I’ll use body gauze while the wounds heal.
  10. Ugh! That video still gives me the heebie jeebies while watching it. It looks like an uncontained engine failure, but the engines are quite forward set on the wings so the fuel tanks should be well out of harm’s way.
  11. Tupolev 75 was ahead of its time, yes? There was yet no need or call for a long range b-29 based airliner in the Soviet Onion. Yes? Interesting comparison when you look at Tupolev 75 and Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.
  12. He was spy of Soviet Union in Cold War. Now is ex Soviet Spy and has pledged allegiance to the State of Model Building, Head of Research Department. After wall came down he had lots of spare time so he snuck into the archives and took pictures with his Secret Agent camera in his ballpoint pen. Now let’s get back to Non Fiction. On the other site he was fondly known (by me) and revered as a quasi semi sorta official historian and researcher. He has pictures of everything. Probably historical pictures of Moses and Moby Dick, too. My friend Martin has saved my bacon on countless builds by being able to read my mind and publish pictures of detail areas right before I ruin the area with incorrect details. It’s spooky, actually.
  13. Fitting and more fitting. This time the cockpit floor in relation to fuselage width and wing fitment. I know it looks like crap right now, but it’s coming right along, actually
  14. James laughing is a very good thing. I will say that I was being coached yesterday by a very close and caring friend who knows me only too well.. he coached me to stand down before I popped off; don’t react, reply, respond, or even so much as flinch as this played out. Everyone here knows me at least in passing, and most know that I’m a pretty simple guy with a simple rule: if it smells bad, don’t eat it. And if a buddy is being threatened, eliminate the threat. So I am indebted and so very grateful to all on the moderating team here who responded in record time and put the problem to bed before it got big. Thank you guys! You all deserve a raise. LSM is so refreshingly laid back and easygoing. Now, we can concentrate on growing the site and keeping it the best modeling site on the web.
  15. Harv, you ever feel like you're being watched?
  16. I heard another rumor that said he'd have it ready for the Nats in Chattanooga..... Just saying...
