  1. Get ‘em while you can, folks! If it’s as good as their G-14 it’ll be one heckuva kit.
  2. We have Fire Ants, Coyotes, Bobcats, Cougars, Wild Hogs, Copperheads, Cottonmouths, Rattlers, Coral Snakes, sharks with giant laser beams, and scorpions big enough to carry you off whole. Plus the chupacabra. Heck, we might even have Drop Bears for all I know.
  3. Let it dry and then it vacuums up. We get invaded by crickets every year. They get literally everywhere. Cricket parts and pulp is a miserable fact of life every October. Every spring, we get June bugs by the millions. They’re here about 6 weeks, and then gone.
  4. This enemy somehow got behind the lines and was pursued to where there was no more room to maneuver. All attempts at close quarters engagement failed, as the enemy was agile and wiley. After several attempts were made, a carefully planned high altitude strategic bombing campaign was developed, and through the use of a specially developed Mk. la eyeball sight unit, thick body wash was dropped from dizzying heights, the invader was eliminated. There was concern about any initial near miss causing the enemy unit to quickly move under cover, but the first glob was a very near miss, entangling one side. Subsequent globs eliminated the threat, and a Mop Up unit was then employed to sanitize the area. My wife was quite relieved that carpet bombing was not called for this time.
  5. Once I have a completed model, I’ll see how it looks, but right now it seems More than good
  6. I’m in with this amazing resin kit. 1/32 Supermarine Attacker, by Iconicair. Having built this Company’s Seafang, I was so impressed that I immediately bought an Attacker and will build it in the New Year. So I’ll now offer up another to one lucky winner. What’s not to love about an early FAA carrier jet. And a taildragger, too!

  8. Welcome back! We’ve changed some, but not so much. We have a very active armor group here that is most prolific! We’re all looking forward to seeing more of your work, Sir!
  9. One other thing on the kit nosegear, or any nosegear for that matter. The nosegear, through design, has to be added when you build up the nosewheel well. Which means it’s sticking out through almost the entire build. I’ve broken mine twice already, and put it all back together. Life goes on. If your careful, you’ll make it through 95% of the build before you break it. 😂
  10. Peter, the kit nose hear is MORE than strong enough. The nose gear is very lightly loaded once the kit is complete. The noseweights supplied are perfect for the task. Just make sure you install both sides. I do recommend Brassin wheels for this one, as well as Quinta or Airscale the kit panel is, ummm, iffy. And use HGW belts. PE belts SUCK
  11. As good as the B-24 was over Europe, it was outshone in a Europe by the B-17, that had its perfect mission there. The B-24 out shone the B-17 in almost every other theatre of operations, though, from sub Hunter/Killer, to the MTO, CBI, and of course, the PTO where it absolutely came into its own. The B-17 wasn’t even close.
  12. I dunno, man. I’m now faced with running my business full time again, so my bench time will be somewhat limited. We’ll see, right? 🤣
  13. Those tires are hilarious. Maybe on a DC-3, yes, but even then it’d wiggle around on the mains so much as to be unsafe as all heck!
  14. Peter, I’m loving it! I’m a lover of Quinta sets, especially for Trumpeter, Kitty Hawk, and other similar kits that provide solid panel decals. I usually have either used Quinta or Airscale individual decals. With my Kotare kit, I took the time to place all the dial decals individually, and in this case (the only case, IMHO), the kit panel looks as good as any AM alternative. To each their own, of course, and if time is tight, as it appears yours is having to juggle stuff all around, Quinta made sense. But Quinta or Airscale is usually a HUGE appearance boost, in this kit’s case, Quinta is simply a time saver. Keep it up! I’m hoping to be done my A-20 in the next few days and I’ll race you to the finish line!
  15. That’s looking awesome, Peter. It reminds me that I really need to finish mine.
  16. Im settling into my comfy chair as well. This will be awesome to see!
  17. Fought to you by Island Hopper Airlines? All the oranges reminds me of the old Magnum PI TV series Hughes 500 Looking amazing, though!!
  18. John, that nose makes all the difference! Amazing what that does to help the appearance. NICE!!!!
  19. Haha @ Kevin. In other news, I’m getting close to the end on this one. tomorrow I do the props, and then stick it all together. Primed and gave the props a coat of aluminum tonight that way, I can rub the rear tips down after they’re topcoated
  20. Went to a Country Cafe way out in the sticks. Just like last year. Fun!
  21. I’m not surprised. I’ve heard the C-5 was a real maintenance hog, as are most of those big birds. People who haven’t been there have no idea how much logistics are needed to keep big birds like that happy and in the air. You need an entire support industry behind you. The slightly smaller An-124s are apparently somewhat better, but they were designed as a strategic military airlifter so maybe a bit more redundancy. But the ability to move almost two An-124 or C-5 loads in one move is good, but to be able to take single items that otherwise would never be considered as a candidate for air transport is golden. I expect there will be a real push to get another back in the air as sonn as possible. One that’s NOT under of the CCP, who once wanted to buy the second airframe.
  22. Well, it is a civilian bird designed for peaceful purposes. I certainly like that. And it was used for many humanitarian needs, worldwide.
