  1. Thank you, Jim I didn’t use any panel-liners on the complete model. This is how I painted the black undersides: After priming with Gunze 1200 and sanding with 8000 grid sanding-cloth I preshaded all the panel-lines with Tamiya flat black. After this, AK Real Color RAF Night was applied thinned 50:50 with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner and my Infinity Airbrush with the 0.2mm nozzle at 2 bar pressure. Then I applied a lightened RAF Night with a thinning-ratio of 30:70 (color:thinner). Finally the original RAF night was applied with a thinning-ratio of 20:80 to blend in the lightened color. I used the same method also for the upper-sides and preshaded twice (over the brown color before painting the green).
  2. Thank you, Mike. The IKEA plates name is Snudda and the diameter is 39cm (ca. 15 inches). Price is appr. 7€. I used it for a couple of dioramas I built. The advantage is that you can show your model from different angles without touching it. And it has enough space to make a nice display.
  3. Hi Rob, thanks for your feedback. You‘re right, the bicycle was very fiddly.
  4. This is going to be a great looking diorama, Jeroen! Beautiful enhancement to the Do and the Jeep! Cheers Kai
  5. Thank you GazzaS, believe it or not, the dog was the most complicated thing to paint with airbrush because it is so tiny.
  6. Thanks, Harv, much appreciated!
  7. Many thanks for your feedback!
  8. Thank you Alan. One intact Upkeep the germans captured was painted in red oxide primer. Other sources also state it was olive-green. I decided to paint it red-oxide to have a drop of color at the all black underside.
  9. Here are some pics of a diorama I finished last year. It depicts a pre-flight scene of Rudels Ju-87G Tankbuster in autumn 1944. This is the Hasegawa-Stuka with a figure of Rudel and his dog. I added 2 crew-figures from Master-Box and a mechanic and a bicycle from the same supplier. The cockpit and the guns were enhanced with Eduard brass and some scratchbuilding. It was painted with Gunze acrylics. The base-plate is turntable and comes from IKEA.
  10. You really went the extra mile, looks nice! Do you also have a foto with the wheels of the main landing-gear attached?
  11. Thank you for your feedback, Rob! For the Diorama I‘m building these figures in addition: And I will add the 10HP Tilly:
  12. Hi Kev, thanks for your feedback. Moving props, light and sound would be unrealistic without figured.
  13. Thanks, Old Dog! I also have only space for one big bomber.
  14. Simply stunning . I‘ve lost words. Great craftsmanship!
  15. Rare bird in this livery. Extremely well done !
  16. Very nice and interesting collection of Spitfires!
  17. Great Job, John! I personally prefer Mosquitos with black undersides! I‘ve got also one in my stash and your Mossie is inspiring.
