  2. Cathy's and my BEST wishes for nothing serious and for this to go away so you can get back to normal............. PLEASE keep us posted ... hope the tests go in your favor Bud.... damn now I have another one to worry about.... will be waiting for the good news Harv.....
  3. The Chevy Tahoe / Suburban, has a "friendly voice" option, so for any voice commands, if you snarl at it, it will snarl back.......so they say.....if you ask nicely and softly , it answers softly as well...... too funny....
  4. Sweet ride, rain you say??????????, well if that's all it is no problem, BUT here we thought we were getting into some sort of spring, but it is snowing HARD here https://www.theweathernetwork.com/ca/alerts/high-alert/british-columbia/nelson and we are under a snowfall warning, got about 6 inches and it is still at it....... Tony, you look rightfully proud of that car, and so you should be, what a hot rod..... Dodge nailed it with that design......
  5. Good eye Martin, a TRUE car guy, you are....
  6. Now THAT is really cool Carl...... opens the door for some really clever stuff.......
  7. What's silly about it......................? I think it's cool too, very cool.......personally I like that kind of stuff...... it's even cooler when the logo is a Gold Bowtie............ just sayin..., seriously though , it looks really cool and ties in with the care perfectly.................... full points from this car guy...
  8. Ryan, you talents, like so many here surpass my meager attempts by many miles, take a bow, the job sure looks great from my house....
  9. Do you guys EVER slop any paint or bust a piece??? John, your builds are just plain stunning, and Peter, that pic is amazing ( I hate that word but I can't think of anything else...) Geez, you guys....... I can only dream of doing this kind of work..................... I will say I thoroughly enjoy watching your stuff come together.... attention to detail is absolutely perfect.........
  10. AH........................ just a random thought here................. maybe this technique should be explained in a tutorial thread??? I'd LOVE to know how to attempt to do something like this................... incredibly realistic.................. kinda gob smacked here...... that is fabulous....... the grain looks damn near perfect....... I am MORE than impressed.................................. geez, the longer I look at it, the better it looks !
  11. yes, maybe , but it certainly wasn't Chromate green, that's way too bright in my book, but maybe a derivative of sorts?? I have never heard of chromate green being used on a Canadian build............... BUT as I said I am open to be corrected.....
  12. Yes, that is totally correct, so that would make me believe the materials used were of our making.... we are on the same page I think, and maybe even the same book too? LOL
  13. Ernie, this is only a guess, as I will have to ask a higher authority, BUT from past research on Canadian built a/c built IN Canada, I might be on the side of the colors, being of British shades and codes and specs, but with Canadian materials, which I have been told could be a little lighter or darker depending on the supplier, apparently the paint composition was a little different on this side of the pond, and there fore were some slight color differences, meaning the 'hue' could go one way or the other......... now I need to do more research into this but if someone knows more, please correct me.... and these birds were built during the war so that would make sense to me...... butt hat's me.... I don't think you would go wrong doing it in RAF spec color hue.....
  14. The Nanton bird won't fly anytime soon, I'm afraid, maybe one day, but I fear I won't see it...... BUT they are getting her all set up for taxiing, which will be really cool..... gonna take a bit for that as well, need a BIG paved area to have the room, but it is happening
  15. OH HA ! I never even noticed the Sherman, I see it NOW LOL!!!
  16. You have NO idea how lucky you were Carl, I would have loved to have been able to even get close to one, even now..... I sure am glad the good folks in Toronto let it come to BC for its full return to glory, it will be REALLY cool to see it fly as a post war bird.... that will be rare, and VERY cool....
