I would hope they would and make it mandatory that the kids attend the ceremony, I guess Justy and Doug are too busy with 'other things' ...

No longer a STAT for Nov 11????????????????????????????????? Carl, are you kidding, first I have heard of that.... May Doug and Justy had better get their S@#t together, that is reprehensible ! No wonder our vets can't get any services...........that is disgusting...................oh I had better stop or I will find my self in deep trouble here........ Again Cathy and I thank him for his service and his ultimate sacrifice, please pass that on to your neighbor for us, Carl......

Yeah, that's kind of what I thought....my son did two tours over there with the Canadian Army..............when you see your Brother in law, thank him for his service from Cathy and me.....tell him God speed and be safe, keep us posted as to his progress, and the new mom to be as well....

I'm learning stuff, here, ok so the next thing..... with watching 'Ice Pilots' over the years, and yeah I know a lot of it is theatrics, BUT I am also under the impression that with that massive tail and large fuselage, she was a handful landing in a cross wind, like trying to land a big sail boat.... I also noticed, that the old bird could be a little temperamental..... overall...... maybe we should start another thread on the 46... I was trying to 'fly' one on FSX..... do you have any cool photos you'd care to share for my collection?? All very interesting stuff and you are the only 46 driver I 'know'....... so I guess that makes you 'special'....

cool, always good to meet new helicopter guys..... so I would guess he doesn't fly, just does the ground work?
-
Thanks I will have to see if it is available here in Canada....
-
Have we won that fight yet?? I keep hearing it's all over and then the next day the fight is back on, personally I don't think it will ever really be over, just my

Ha, yeah I did that for 38 years and got more fists shook at me and fingers , the BIG one than thanks............naw, they can crash now.... What helicopter company does your friend work at..... I'm a rotor guy...... can you tell?

Is there a water injection on them as well or am I thinking of something else? I love that snarl....
-
Not sure about that, some of us fat guys rather like the sounds of that........ a rare sound these days to be sure...... was in Fairbanks a couple years ago and an Everts '6' took off, and holy it was AWESOME ....... i loved it!

In your care it would read..." Airplane"........
-
well the one we picked up with the loader slid into the s/a most of it was kind of 'soup'.... if you know what I mean, it got creamed by a semi trailer loaded chip truck, ( super 'B') she was heavy....... yeah they tend to run when something is coming out of the air at them.. LOL I could just hear them... " Dan what the F......???.... RUN....."
-
That's what scares me when we are in the Corvette blasting down the road, oh yeah I KNOW every curve in the road, I just don't know what's around that curve.....
-
Gee, thanks Maru................... not looking forward to that......

exactly.... I was never a fan of the soft top ones.... don't know why, but never was...... they were a rugged beast though.....

I wonder how many gallons of paint it takes to cover one of those behemoths ?

We are lucky to have it at all, so I also agree, and I would suppose at sometime, they would want to recoup some of their start up costs, as after all I guess it is business too eh? This whole thing sounds fantastic, who would have thought just a few short years ago we would have such large detailed kits available, talk about advancements ... holy, it is mind boggling.....
-
Martin, actually there is a 1/32 Dakota, but it is WAY out of my league, price wise and build wise, and it is not even a resin kit, I am assuming you mean IM plastic, that I think I could handle , but surely not this beauty . I sure would love to watch a build like this go together..... I saw a Lancaster being built like this somewhere too, can't remember where though https://forum.model-space.co.uk/default.aspx?g=topics&f=322 https://www.model-space.com/gb/build-the-douglas-dc3-full-kit.html this is a very cool kit , that would challenge a lot of skills I'd say... very cool though....

Depends on the type of road kill, as to what shovel you use, a skunk can be picked up by a #3 Fox shovel, and a Moose on the other hand takes a Cat loader, and a single axle dump truck..... just in case you guys needed to know that................. the only animal I ever hit was in a bad snow storm while plowing the highway, a rabbit ran out in front of the truck, I couldn't stop, but I did eventually get the truck stopped and went back and dug in the windrow, but never found it...... I felt bad for days......
-
NOW, as a guy who spent 38 years working in the highways maintenance business, I know OUR center line crew would absolutely do this, and that is way too funny !!! I love this.. Jeff
