  1. I couldn't do what you are doing in a 1000 years, what a feat of engineering...... this is fabulous, and as a truck driver for almost 40 years, you have nailed the frame and air tanks, and the plumbing..... this is really cool...... Jeff
  2. I can see you may have to cast a few of these for the guys..... just a random thought.. Jeff
  3. YUP that's the one I remember at the Abbotsford Air Show, MANY years ago, I'm glad they diudn't cut her up to look like Strega, et-al...... she is one BEAUTIFUL aircraft, I'd LOVE to see her again....... thanks for the pics of her Jeff
  4. Harv.... ..................................This place feels like open air.............................. the way it SHOULD be......so enlightening, and a great enjoyable place to share our morning coffee, which I find I am doing every day now..... it's great to be with good friends, we're home now...
  5. Stupid question time...... again.... is Miss America the 'same' Miss America P 51 as the one that Howie Keefe flew, way back in the day?? or is it a newer one, I haven't seen a pic of that airplane for years.. Jeff

    Welcome

It's like old home week.... this is great !
  7. Carl, a 1/32 Clunk would be really cool, a well detailed one........ do I hear Otter somewhere?
  8. I heard the '46 is a bit of a bear in a crosswind landing or take off...... were you flying in Alaska Ernie?
  9. Now THAT is FUNNY, I don't care who you are !!!!
  10. Well, I have to say........... this thread, has made my day..... I had a good few chuckles here I will say..... I really can't imagine how this conversation would go if we were all in a room at an IPMS doo, and had a few beers...... this is really entertaining...... i LOVE it..... there may even be a solution to the problem here somewhere......
  11. I agree William, those seats are fabulous..... did you grab this kit from Martin? I got to get over and see you guys , been a crazy summer.... Jeff
  12. naw, Peter, no worries, just stay up late at night..................... who needs sleep I will follow along as well, now that I know we are all here...

  14. Ernie, I'd be in for a Tutor, and dare I say a deHavilland Beaver?? I guess we are Canadians eh?? LOL!!!!
  15. John, your painting skills are top drawer, I wish I could pull that off so consistently as you do....looking really good.... Jeff
  16. I agree Ernie, we NEED a good Clunk, and a C -47, C-7 or even a Buffalo, in any scale, just some GOOD ones!!
  17. Martin, how big is the cup?
  18. Thanks, I was just looking and holy cow there are hundreds to choose from...... thanks Martin, I think I will try one or two myself, if they get diddled up it really doesn't matter, my thought is to try moving to the 'dark side' and use it for acrylics...... it will be my first time...... I'm sure you know that feeling...
  19. Cool, I'll be watching this with great interest....
  20. Can't go wrong there either... right on............
  21. Hey Pete, I agree with Cees, excellent start, this will look great, have you picked a particular aircraft yet? Jeff
  22. I have had this exact set for 25 years and it is excellent Jeff
  23. Geez for 11 bucks how can you go wrong, Martin, will the air hose fit a standard ( Badger) air line do you think? Or is it some odd ball size? I'd hate to spend 11 bucks on the airbrush then 2 or 300 on new compressors etc..... and did they ship to you from China ok?? Jeff
  24. Thanks for the clarification, yeah we got the Bomarc .......... that is most interesting Ernie, from all that I have read 'officially' such as that is, we only had 1 on strength, but we all know how much bovine excrement flows in this world, always good to have a guy with the boots on the ground to give us the correct gen.... had not heard about the twisting air frame, that makes more than perfect sense. I always kind of thought it was a rather silly place to mount a powerful engine for testing, I would have thought they may have removed a set of engines off the wing and given it a go.... BUT I'm no engineer( obviously) , yeah sad day when we lost the Arrow.... still controversial today, what a legacy.......... imagine how things would be different today eh? Thanks for the correct info Ernie.. Jeff
  25. I have NO words........................................ this is a feast for anyone's eyes, no detail overlooked.................. where does this talent come from??? Can I buy it somewhere or is it limited issue ? Jeff
