  1. Took more work than expected to have them match...x4.
  2. I am making a small ILS tower to go next to the building since most photos I have seen have them. I am waiting for extra grass stuff from Italy since i ran out, I have also ordered yellow flowers from Hobbyist Heaven and custom Decals for the gate from Dave Decals, I am building the tower in 4 sections to make the painting easier since it would have been impossible to get a clean line between the red and the white because of the braces up and down the post. Will post when I am further in the diorama. Oliver
  3. Not much to look at yet but ground in progress. Much to learn about ground work that's for sure.
  4. Still working on the ground,I agree a bit too dark. I plan to lighten my grass work as well. Helicopter on hold till ground work is all done, it would be too much back and forth with all the stuff i need between the helicopter and ground work.
  5. Started on the ground stuff but something doesn't flow right. maybe ground too dark. I may need to add a thin layer of brown grass first. the fence has Barbwire on top but I will pass on adding that. Amazing to see the height difference between the fence and the gate.
  6. Finished. started shading effects on fence.
  7. A bit of shadowing on the the building I don't think I will push it any further than this. Next will do wash and install antennas and red light on top.
  8. Incredible modeling going here .
  9. Nicely done so far.
  10. Wow, I like that a lot. Sharp
  11. This is ion my list to do. Looks real sharp. I dig the camo work.
  12. Cleaned up every squares. It took a lot of masking tape. I painted the roof with Dull alu. A lot more to do on this. I will also paint on top on the vent dull alu as well. Here's how it looks so far. I am gonna let this sit for a few days before I do the next steps to make all dry.
  13. Sadly you might be right about someone rushing to get this painted and possibly being sloppy however, I can't find any photos of the red and white Checkered building being weathered or showing a poor paint job. Spent few hours cleaning the white squares today and red squares are next.
  14. Well, that did not go as planned. Masking the red squares took a while since I had to cut every square to size. The red paint bled all over the white, I think I used an old wide tape roll so it did not stick well. This looks real bad to me so I will try to clean it up. I will have to mask every white squares and respray white. I think making individual squares was a mistake, I believe the door frame and the AC exhaust should have been added after the red and white square job in order to run a clean tape pattern.
  15. Started on the building. i used Tamiya light Grey primer first then some shading in flat black and red brown, sanded smooth before the flat white coat. 2 thin coats of Flat white then applied Vallejo Grey white and sanded that coat smooth. I will let this dry for several days before applying the flat red squares. I did not want to push the shading too much at this stage. I did finish building the gates, I had to make level so extented the poles at the bottom. I will add some signage on the gates and the building as well.
