The problem with WNW group builds is there is never enough time to do a kit justice. Especially if you build like me.... glacial would be the Indy 500 to me. And I will say that since 2010 when I first came on a model forum , I have noticed that forums wax and wane. And sometimes they die. If its their time then that can happen. As far as guys fighting and not liking each other , if you dont like each other on one forum , you wont like each other on another forum. I've been in some fights , I've watched fights. I saw with utter dismay a very good man and exceptional modeller be attacked and his forum had to fold. I'm not the most popular and sometimes i'm even ignored when I offer help or participate. I dont cry about these things because I know it wont do any good . I continue to model and contribute on a couple of forums simply because I get interest in my work. Simple. If its a forums time to see an exodus then thats the way it will be.

No Hubert. The air pressure IS the fuel pump. The pilot is pressurizing the fuel system manually at intervals as needed, ie: when the engine starts to run out of fuel!! This the genesis of fuel systems. No pumps yet. Later we see the prop driven , hand driven etc. But I believe air pressure was the beginning. I havent seen a fuel pump on a WW 1 engine yet. But I am no expert and I dont have this kit so I cant check.

Yes it is a Big Pump (apologies HST) ! My answer cannot be 'definitive' , all I did was follow fuel and air lines in pics and see them go to the prominent valves in the cockpit area. As this isnt a personal build thread I can put a pic up of my IP. I researched the pump and found it to ba an air pump to pressurize the fuel tanks. I plumbed mine to the valve right near it. I believe the pilot would select the tank to be pressurized and turn the valve accordingly and then pump air into the tank , there by pushing the fuel into the feed line to the carb. See it on the right with no handle yet and a line going under to the valve right near to it. The backside: I would think the bird in question here would only have a single fuel tank , so the line woud go directly to the tank. But as I say just surmising.

Thanks Ernie. And watching the discussions on a number of forums I THANK THE MEMBERS HERE for not speculating or promoting non-news. One site had it at a 'fire sale' on one page ?! Hysteria is superseding reality , the bulk of which we know nothing about. WNW sales are up , with no gouging happening yet , so lets let things progress as they will. I've seen it referred to as the hand air pump for pressurizing the fuel tanks. And that is how I plumbed it on A Gotha.

I've been thinking about these props: I wanna do them in light/dark laminated wood , base color on: Almost 'zebra' contrast for maximum visual effect. Anyone have any techniques?

Here's how it works Jeff; A person chooses to do drugs. They do so much they are mentally unable to regain their normal self. A doctor decries they are mentally unstable . They now have more rights than you. With enormous resources at their disposal , all they have to do is play the woe is me card. They assault you , you defend yourself , you get hurt , get to hear the cops say; "we cant do anything" , things go wrong and add a couple of bleeding heart 'witness' , you are now the criminal. Not only that , it gets classified as a hate , or religious , or gay crime , now your sentence will be even worse. You as a responsible person feel guilt , shame and are financially impacted. They feel nothing. The best thing is to vacate immediately when one of these shows up , especially now with cops rigid with fear , scared to even pull anyone over for traffic violations. This is approximately 5 weeks into lockdown, another 3-4 at least to go.

Watching as the small town across the water from me starts to unravel. I read this morning of a family that rented to some of these druggies , they wont pay rent , have threatened violence , leave the heat on all night with all the windows open etc , etc. The suggested advice on fbook ranges from " I'm sorry " to " kill them all" Cops: "We cant do anything" This drug addicted scum has more rights than hard working Canadians . I you get into a physical encounter , they have more rights than you as they are "mentally ill" so its a hate crime on you. As I heard in a movie I once saw: "Getting sporty 'round here!"

I balked today at ordering pegs from China for the crib boards I make. Then a search revealed there is no other place to get them at a viable price. If I order 1000 that will be enough for a few years production. See how that worked? I'm watching civility and decorum , as much as is left , slip away in public and on fbook pages etc. The outstanding hypocrisy of the western world could be a victim of this situation. Shedding the thin veneer of 'respect' might be a good thing. Someone has the world by the throat , and I am worried about the end game.
