  1. Agreed. The best advice for newbies is stick to WNW instructions and their website. Everything is there nice and simple. After that search forums and google terms , immersing in the info particular to the rigging you want to do. You can see from Ernies post that the info grows exponentially regarding rigging and more questions erupt as the explanation progress'. So a simple three word question garners a litany of info and answers from all directions.
  2. lol Key statement there . I removed my advice and help I misunderstood what was being asked.
  3. GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats what isolation is doing to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! and whatever you do dont ask me about rigging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. All that you need is in the WNW instructions.
  5. The WNW instructions supply all that you need. Lots of ways to do things . Good luck!
  6. This could be finished here.
  7. lol optional 8 cylinder engine there!
  8. And production. A bit of another slog as I wasn't watching some of my settings in Corel ; what I thought was 2.2 inches was really 2,.2 mm , weird shit happens when you try to work with sub-visible vectors. Anyway got it done: And with the kit decals: The '3' is .375" This is a test , a paper copy with the mask on top. Its not perfectly in line but it fits and now I can print the decals off.I'm sure they will be easier to align.
  9. ...but canna bruhtha getta Cold War BoP's version outta dat ting?!
  10. dang , I just mailed some masks to a customer in N.Z. !
  11. lol but the mustang wing thread seals the fate of that forum , doomed to lock down. we re in the golden age of modelling , there will always be unsatisfaction , keep it over there.
  12. So still not solved fully then.
  13. I have been watching that too. Solving the clear turret problem is one I would consider tackling. I have the needed equipment and supplies. Last time I checked it had yet to br solved in a manner that will supply the clear parts in an acceptable vac form. Is that still the case , parts needed to be worked out?
  14. AND FOR THE RECORD: " I LIKE LOLLIES"
  15. This seems to be a healthy discussion. More along the lines of what I will read and be interested in. Is there collusion between manufacturers and A/M producers? I think there is a little , but not worrisome to me.
  16. I'm not interested in seeing the baby poop either. There are plenty of forums for those useless fights. Opinion against opinion , opinion against manufacturer's. Lots of self -appointed experts in modelling and the upshot is that the fight will never end. Even when a forums admin and top modellers help a manufacturer there are details and not perfect models. I'm thinking of the Lancaster , and the signature at the bottom of my postings. I also remember my excitement at a 1/32 B 17 G , then getting one , and then watching the destruction of the kit on LSP and the feeling of 'who the f*ck is this guy and who is he to destroy someone else' work' He was PROVEN to be underinformed and of course wept and claimed super indignance at having his word questioned. He left after claiming the kit to be "unbuildable" Some times its too bad that modelling is all about the 'old boys club' and very few kids are involved. There 's always going to be mistakes. The day I got it I was really happy:
  17. Someone did a political rant?
  18. lol thats what sweet and sour sauce is for !
  19. What!? A 1/32 Halifax ! Its not that hard to believe! Sense of humour sources throughout my life: MAD magazine MPFC HST National Lampoon. Starting to get the idea!? Just some fun , no need for a judgement call on krow113.
  20. April 30 2020 The Virus mutated a final time, the waves of death surged , peaked and abated. The hardest hit were the young people , the spring breakers , the pub crawlers. Not many elderly left, an unforseen and unheard of prior , surge in respect for the elders helped more of them to live. Gravel pits and quarrys were repurposed into mass gravesites with dump trucks full of corpses lined up to drop off into the pit. Criminals now run things , out in the open , unlike the hypocrasy that was in place prior. Killings , murders , starvation have all run past the death toll of the virus. People who were at the bottom of society with nothing to lose are now running thier own kingdoms with brutal martial law ,if it can be called that , in place. I fear for my sanity , the cats are gone , flavorful but I saw what they had been eating and could barely keep their meat down. Packs , gangs of the survivors roam at will , reporting to the top criminals in the area. Parks and recreation facilities have been turned into makeshift 'courts' and tribunals. The rows of decapitated heads ringing the grounds give mute testimony to the outcome of the 'trials. I cant build any more models as I am out of supplies. I rigged up a hose to my closet from the exhaust of my truck , I dont think there is much to live for now. Oh! Wait! WNW just came out with a 1/32 scale Halifax bomber! Perhaps I'll try to keep going.
  21. April 15 2020 Everything has exploded exponentially. The Virus mutated several times , becoming more and more virulent and deadly.in the warmer weather. Seniors homes and hospitals closed as the inundation of infected people overloaded facility's. Jails are full of corpses and more are dropped of almost hourly. Crime surged and then went astronomical as infected people decided to take as many with them as possible and vigilante groups sprung up. Corpses are all over the streets and gathering places. Rats and predators roam at will and are getting stronger with all of the food laying around. I have a creek through my yard so water is ok for me, but there are reports of infected people urinating and defacating in water supplies. Murders and assaults are moment by moment as old scores and general dislike of each other boils over into terminal confrontations. Mass murders of officials , police , union members and the other elites who thought hoarding and denial of service was going to go over positively. My food is running out , the 2 cats , getting fat on rat meat , are still purring. I am keeping them out of sight as there was a community dinner recently where all of the pets were cooked up and shared, I heard the gravy was really good. Power is still on but most government sites are closed due to wholesale slaughter of goverment officials . I've watched as members here have died off ; Harvs Goodbye thread full of their dispair and passing on has strangly kept me somewhat happy , if thats possible. On a positive note , I finally finished A Gotha.
  22. My 4' box/pan break for 1/32 B 17 flaps:
  23. And after a bit of a slog: The aircraft is spurious so the number is of little consequence. I did up a whole font for this , just the way I do it. For an L.V.G. built Gotha decals will be required. These will be a mask decal combo. A mask for the white outline and decals for the serial.
  24. Looking at the serials and fuse codes today. I have to try and conjure up a beleivable set of codes & serials. These should be on the fuse and sealed before it gets seated in the jig. There is a lot of work to do on the fuse prior to jigging for final assy. Very little to go on for pics , big surprise , records show that LVG license built a number of G IV's . Serials: 980 - 1029 = 49 built. 100 - 149 = 49 built. So 98 potential numbers available. By records given in Gotha! LVG had white outlines around the fuse serials , by a number of pics and one set of subject decals in the kit. Tricky little thin outline on the serial , no-one said it was gonna be easy. No work done so here is a completely non related shot from the 1500 pic A Gotha library:
