  1. Thanks Paul. I built a Tamiya 1/48 one YEARS ago and modified it to a -3. I agree that a 1/32 one would be cool and a bit different. I'll have to check around and see what's available, etc.
  2. Maybe but not likely Hubert. LOL πŸ™„
  3. Thanks Chris. I'm happy you like it. Yep, I have a heck of a lot of left over and spare parts, pieces and decals as a result of over 50 years of modelling.
  4. After re-checking the kit I now see there are NO rockets. Oh well, back in the box and I decided to get a Hasegawa kit on ebay that I know is complete. So in the mean time I'll see what else I can get started on.........πŸ™„
  5. Thank you Frank. I'm glad you like the results of my work.
  6. I don't know for sure Carl but I don't think Eduard did a Typhoon. I made a mistake Carl. My kit is the old Monogram kit, not Hasegawa. LOL Brain fart.
  7. Decided against it for now. How about a old boxing of the Monogram 1/48 Hawker Typhoon! Had it on the shelf for MANY years LOL! Uh oh! No canopy! No telling where it got to over the years! Maybe I can find a replacement somewhere. Update: Found one on ebay.
  8. Very very nice Gaz!
  9. Thank you Jeff. I am glad you like it!
  10. Thanks Jeff! Great researching.
  11. Done with this one!!! https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19146-hobbycraft-p-51-finished/
  12. Calling this one done. Additions to the model were: Vector resin cockpit, FineMolds belts, replacement prop and wheels from stash of leftover parts, Master Model brass cannons, exhausts from my stash. All markings (decals) are from my decal stash. Painted with Colourcoats and MM. Thanks go to Rockie Yarwood for the kit! I hope y'all like the results of my efforts! Thanks to Jeff I see that this a/c was in 268 Squadron.
  13. The a/c number is FD474. Take a look here Jeff. https://www.worldwarphotos.info/gallery/usa/aircrafts-2-3/p51-raf/mustang-fd474/
  14. I'm not sure which squadron it is Jeff. I didn't see any info on that when I downloaded the 2 photos but I suspect either 414 or 613 and possibly the AFDU in 1942. I base that info on 2 things: A single letter a/c code and the white wingtips. However, several RAF and RCAF squadrons had these a/c but I feel this particular bird was in one of the training squadrons due to the white wingtips. If you or someone else has more info I'd be interested in seeing it.
  15. Thanks Peter. I finished decaling last night and hope to get the remaining bits attached today and finish it up.
  16. Camo all done! Next I'll overcoat with clear gloss in prep for decaling. (Those white wing tips sure look "different"!)
  17. Thank you Peter. Camo painting now in progress.
  18. Thanks Carl. I know it might be a high cuss-factor build but I'll probably give it a shot anyway. Sorry about your '109. I hope you can get it sorted out and finish it up as I'd really like to see it.
  19. but NOT certain yet! πŸ™„ Gaz did such a fine job on his it would be a hard act to follow! LOL Others here have built or started one so input would be appreciated (especially on the engine as I'm considering having the cowling open.) Thanks in advance!
  20. Early stage of painting. I don't know why this particular a/c had white wing tips unless it was part of some testing routine. Yellow wing leading edge strips are next.
  21. Yep!!!!
  22. Outstanding Frank! Very well done. Those Tamiya Mustangs are really nice!
