Thank you Peter.

Thanks Hubert. Should be a nice one!

Looks like it's going to be the ICM 1/48 B-26K. Ought to look good with the black undersides, etc. Here's a pic of the earlier build of the A-26B that I built a couple of years ago.

Thanks Rockie. I think it turned out pretty well. If you do decide to build one I'd recommend getting a Vector cockpit set. I got mine here: https://www.ultracast.ca/searchresults.asp?Search=Vector+1%2F32+P-51&Submit= Not cheap but it is the best price I could find and WAY better than on ebay. -

Thanks Paul. I built a Tamiya 1/48 one YEARS ago and modified it to a -3. I agree that a 1/32 one would be cool and a bit different. I'll have to check around and see what's available, etc. -
Maybe but not likely Hubert. LOL 🙄

Thanks Chris. I'm happy you like it. Yep, I have a heck of a lot of left over and spare parts, pieces and decals as a result of over 50 years of modelling. -
After re-checking the kit I now see there are NO rockets. Oh well, back in the box and I decided to get a Hasegawa kit on ebay that I know is complete. So in the mean time I'll see what else I can get started on.........🙄

Thank you Frank. I'm glad you like the results of my work. -
I don't know for sure Carl but I don't think Eduard did a Typhoon. I made a mistake Carl. My kit is the old Monogram kit, not Hasegawa. LOL Brain fart.
-
Decided against it for now. How about a old boxing of the Monogram 1/48 Hawker Typhoon! Had it on the shelf for MANY years LOL! Uh oh! No canopy! No telling where it got to over the years! Maybe I can find a replacement somewhere. Update: Found one on ebay.

Done with this one!!! https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19146-hobbycraft-p-51-finished/

Calling this one done. Additions to the model were: Vector resin cockpit, FineMolds belts, replacement prop and wheels from stash of leftover parts, Master Model brass cannons, exhausts from my stash. All markings (decals) are from my decal stash. Painted with Colourcoats and MM. Thanks go to Rockie Yarwood for the kit! I hope y'all like the results of my efforts! Thanks to Jeff I see that this a/c was in 268 Squadron.
-
The a/c number is FD474. Take a look here Jeff. https://www.worldwarphotos.info/gallery/usa/aircrafts-2-3/p51-raf/mustang-fd474/

I'm not sure which squadron it is Jeff. I didn't see any info on that when I downloaded the 2 photos but I suspect either 414 or 613 and possibly the AFDU in 1942. I base that info on 2 things: A single letter a/c code and the white wingtips. However, several RAF and RCAF squadrons had these a/c but I feel this particular bird was in one of the training squadrons due to the white wingtips. If you or someone else has more info I'd be interested in seeing it.

LOL!!!

Thanks Peter. I finished decaling last night and hope to get the remaining bits attached today and finish it up.

Camo all done! Next I'll overcoat with clear gloss in prep for decaling. (Those white wing tips sure look "different"!)
