It should make a nice model but now I'm waiting for the Quinta set and the Barracuda set. Seems like I'm always waiting for stuff! LOL -

After reading some build reviews I decided I best go on and get the set. Now I'll be waiting for that AND the Quinta set to build the model. Guess I'll have to find something to work on in between. 🙄 -

I decided to get the Barracudacast correction set for this model. -
LOL MARU! Been there too (or should I say banned there too LOL). Hopefully you will be active here as we have a good group of folks.

I've had this one in the stash for a while so I guess now is a good time to build it. I plan to use the Quinta set (ordered today) for the cockpit but the rest will be OOB including the markings (at least at this point LOL). Looks to be a straight forward build although I have read a few build reviews detailing some "problems". However, I don't think it will be a high cuss-factor build so onward, etc!

My mistake, sorry. 🤪

LOL Gaz! Thanks!!!!!

Thanks Kevin. I used a combination of lightened blue gray and some pastel chalk. Worked out okay I think.
-
Thank you Rob. LOL I'm glad you like the model.

Thanks Gaz!!! I tried not to over do the weathering since it's so easy to ruin a model like that. I'm pleased that you like it!

Thank you Fran! Very much appreciated.

For salmon primer you can use some Luftwaffe RLM23 red with a bit of white added to match one of these FS colors (whichever you prefer). As for the underside color, it's Colourcoats WW2 USN Light Gray (I don't have the FS number but it's close to Light Gull Gray 36440). You are welcome, thanks.

Done with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/18864-f4u-1-finished/

Another Corsair in the books. Painted with a combination of Testor's MM and Colourcoats. The interior is from Quinta Designs. The original a/c was very weathered so I tried not to overdo it. The decals are from Techmod and worked out very well. I hope y'all like it.

Thanks Mike. I tried not to overdo it. I'm in the process of weathering, etc. now and expect to have it done later today if all goes well. 🤞

The main part of the camo is on. I sprayed some clear gloss on the wings to get started with the Techmod decals which seem to work well.

Nostalgia builds have a lot to say for themselves. I have a closet full of kits that would qualify! LOL Nice work on the '101 Chris.
