Thanks Peter. My fingers, and toes, are crossed also. Attaching the wings promises to be a real PITA I'm afraid. At any rate, onward and upward as they say. ð
Back on this build now that I have some nice decals for it. I plan to do all the decaling THEN undertake to see about attaching the wings (folded). ð
I'd say the only "required" after market is the seat which is a beauty. All that other stuff, in my humble opinion, is far from "required" and just adds more headaches to the build. I'll say this though, they DO dress it up well. ð
LOL Kevin! Both were very fortunate to come through the Ploesti Raid although they did have a little damage.
Those Hasegawa B-24's are really nice kits but pricey. I just ordered a "J" from SB and it was $70.00 plus shipping. Sure had to bite the bullet to do it.
I've been working on this one off and on for the last year. Finally finished it this last week. It goes well with the 1st one I built a couple of years ago. Both were Ploesti survivors. Decals are from Fine Art of Decals Ploesti Specials.
Agreed Peter. Their instruction diagrams could use some tweaking as they leave a lot of room for guessing. I've had to pop it apart twice to re-attach parts correctly. ðĪŠ
Alright! I have one in my stash and I'll certainly be keeping up with your build. Maybe that will give me the needed incentive to build it. What scheme do you plan on doing, grey/green or earth/green?
