  1. Thanks Kevin. As they say, it's not over til it's over. Still got the gunners station, landing gear attachment and some smaller stuff to take care of. On the home stretch though!!!
  2. May I recommend you read the WIP Ernie? Aires.
  3. Thanks Peter. I'm a big fan of GSB and I'm sure this beast will look good in that color. I'll go re-fill the paint cup in a bit and continue with the painting. I expect to have all the GSB done today. Then I can attach the wheels and embark on the wheel covers which look to have a pretty high cuss-factor since there are no locating pins or attachment points and the instructions are very vague. Typical!!!🤪
  4. Painting is in progress (paint cup ran out while I was painting the right wing). Click on the photo for best resolution.
  5. Yes, you'd think they would have been able to get that little thing right. 🙄
  6. Installed. (The broken glass piece was already broken when I got the kit. I'll do some work on cleaning that up but it won't be too visible when the sliding portion is in place.)
  7. Installing the rear glass and life raft cylinder. I found it to be too long. It needed to be shortened so it wouldn't hit the forward bulkhead and jut out into the gunners compartment. Just another thing to "fix" (at least it's a easy fix).
  8. Thank you Dennis. I got the stubs installed last night with no problems.
  9. Indeed Peter. The issue was in doubt a couple of times though!!! 🤪
  10. LOL That's the plan for now.
  11. Thanks Peter. This one has been a struggle from day one and continues to be so for the most part. Next I will attach the underwing rocket stubs and bomb racks before (can you believe it!!!) PAINTING the GSB. After that I'll attach the landing gear but the gear doors have no locating points as a guide. And of course the instructions are vague and no help at all. 🤪 I plan to use the plastic kit flaps for now and MAY get around to the PE ones later. I'm just not up for that additional hassle right now. 😄
  12. Wings attached and seams filled, etc.
  13. LOL Phil! Making no promises but certainly not as much cussing as this monstrosity. 🤪
  14. Thank you Andy, I appreciate the kind comment.
  15. Not pretty but at least now it "fits".
  16. Thank goodness for CA glue and Zip Kicker. 🤪
  17. Attaching the wings now. 🤪
  18. I hope I have it squared away now Gaz. Fingers crossed!
  19. Agreed Peter. That frame on top makes it possible to do the surgery. Otherwise I don't know what I'd do to fix the problem. 🙄
  20. My "fix" for the rear cockpit window was saw that mother in half and sand down the edges until I got a decent "fit". Later I'll have to do some careful cleaning up on the cut area.
  21. Thanks for the photos Dennis.
  22. I see Gaz. And I thought it was a subtle hint! LOL
  23. Looks to be a big airplane Dennis. That museum has some neat airplanes including a Bearcat.
  24. Ain't gonna happen Gaz.
