Hobby Boss F-84E back on the bench

It's not all that difficult Peter but you'd need a laser printer for best results. Do you have one? If you do I'll talk you through the procedure. -

Since I had started this build last year and set it aside I have a "head start" now. LOL I'll have to do some re-scaling and printing the markings I plan to use since they aren't available in 1/32. We'll see how that goes. -

Thank you Gaz. Those Airscale instrument faces are nice plus they are each separate on the decal sheet unlike others I've "tried" to use. -

I'll keep it in mind Martin. -
I started this build back in 2020 but set it aside for "later". Well, NOW is later. LOL I'm using the outstanding AMS resin cockpit and seat plus the IP with airscale instrument faces. My intent is to represent a Ohio/Idaho ANG a/c with red flashes on the tail and fuselage. Stay tuned.

Thank you Rob. I oversprayed the Alclad with some Alclad semi-flat clear to sort of tone it down a bit. -

All done with this one. Not a bad kit but it does have some inaccuracies. I replaced the tires with resin True Details tires, the props I replaced with some Monogram props, the complete cockpit was replaced with a Monogram cockpit with added Eduard PE details. I also replaced the seat with one from my stash. I decided to dress it up some with the yellow pad and the US Army Air Forces decal which I re-scaled from a 1/32 Barracudacal. I replaced all the guns. Some are brass and some are hollow plastic rod to represent the blast tubes on these a/c. Exterior paint is all Alclad except for the anti glare areas which are MM OD and the exhaust stains which are a couple of different shades of MM. Decals are from the kit except for the national insignias which are Aeromaster. The build DID have it's moments but now it's all done and ready for your perusal. I hope y'all like it!

All done. Check completed works.

Thanks Mark. I'm just about finished with the model and should have some photos posted soon.

Thanks Peter. I tried the black at one time and really didn't see any difference between it and the gray.

I assume you are referring to the NMF. No, I just lay on a primer of Alclad Gray Primer and Microfiller. Works for me.

JohnB replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
As said before it will be a gem! I look forward to seeing the finished model. -
These particular a/c all had heavy exhaust staining which should look good on the model. I left the cowlings off so I could do that.
