Finally done with this one. I didn't want to do a Korean War a/c so I decided on a post war Air National Guard bird. Colorful markings, etc. As the subject I wanted to build had no 1/32 decals available, only 1/72 and 1/48 from Echelon, I decided to get one of their sheets and do some re-sizing using my scanner and laser printer. It turned out to be a bit of a bear to get the markings sized right and the colors right but I managed to finally get it done to my satisfaction. Paint is several shades of Alclad with Testor's MM interior green I mixed to suit my eye. Wheel wells, etc are Testor's Zinc Chromate. The national insignia decals are from Super Scale. The cockpit and seat are resin from AMS. The correct style air brake is a result of a swap with Mark (1 to 1 scale) a while back. I hope y'all like the results!!!

Looking at a build review on the "other" site it appears this will be a bear to build. Feeling a bit deflated. 😐

Thanks, I appreciate that. I'm just getting started on decaling using some I resized and printed on my laser printer. The subject hasn't been available in anything but 1/72 and 1/48 before so this will be a unusual one for 1/32. Red stripes. -

Looks mighty good Rob! Nice work. 😀 -
I just received my kit and after a cursory inspection I think it really looks good. Should build up to be a very nice model even without all the extra PE stuff. In my opinion the only PE that MIGHT be wanted for some folks is the wing fold set and the bomb bay set. I got the canopy mask set because I'm lazy and don't want to have to go to the effort to otherwise do the masking. I'm sure the after-market folks will have some nice PE cockpit placards and some decal sets too. After a second perusal I think getting the PE flap set might be a good idea so you don't have to drill out all those little holes. I just now ordered a set and used my "rewards" to save a few bucks on that $40.00 PE set.
