  1. LOL Gaz! Time for something a bit different I guess. My stash of armor keeps growing so I guess I better build some!
  2. We'll see how it goes Jeff. It's been several years since I've built a tank so I guess I'm due!
  3. LOL! As yet to be determined.
  4. You did a great job on it. I've been busy removing the plethora of molding tabs and cleaning all that up. I hope to get started on building and pre-painting this weekend. If I remember correctly, interiors on German panzers were a rusty red color or a whiteish ivory color. Correct me if I'm wrong!
  5. Thank you Rob. I can recommend Top Notch for masks. He did a great job at a reasonable price.
  6. Thanks Mike. I agree, it does build up just fine with no real problems.
  7. Nice work! I'm considering a white scheme but that is subject to change.
  8. Thanks Gaz. I figure at that point in time the a/c weren't showing a lot of wear, etc so I decided to go subtle on this build. A little paint wear and some exhaust stains only.
  9. I just hope I can do it justice since I don't build very many armor kits.
  10. LOL Phil!!! I'm thinking it might take a little longer..........
  11. Looks great in the box. Cookie Sewell did a review on it and gave it high marks. The only "problem" I see is all the molding tabs. Looks like enough to make another kit! LOL Pretty tedious to remove and clean up.
  12. Thanks Jeff. I'm glad you like it.
  13. Taking a break from things with wings. This Tiger 1 will be next up on the bench. Looks like a outstanding kit and should make a really cool model! Stay tuned.
  14. All done on this one. I haven't added the stretched sprue antennas yet as I'm sure I would break them while taking photos. The side numbers, 155, and tail numbers, 15P, are from masks custom made for me by TopNotch Model Masks. National insignias are from Yellow Wings decals. Painted with Model Master OD and Neutral Gray. I added the correct pitot tube as the one in the kit is wrong. I had come to a screeching halt on this build when I screwed up the windscreen/armored glass attachment. Thankfully the folks at Trumpeter sent me a replacement clear sprue so I could finally finish up. I decided to model Taylor's a/c instead of Welch's. I hope y'all like it!
  15. It's all done. Pics posted on completed works.
  16. I appreciate that Jeff, thanks!
  17. 10 years! Wow. Do you intend to finish it at some point?
  18. LOL When I post a comparison photo I think you will see what I mean Jeff. Just about done. Pics either later today or tomorrow.
  19. Both the windscreen and armored glass are clear (of course). It is very difficult to attach the armored glass without the glue showing. I tried to hide it with a little paint but it just didn't work out satisfactorily. Glueing clear to clear is a bit difficult. I have it fairly well sorted out on the replacements now but it's still not "perfect".
  20. I have decided to get back to this build which I had put on hold awaiting a replacement clear sprue from Trumpeter. That arrived a few weeks ago and I just haven't done anything with it until now. My intentions now are to go on and finish this one which shouldn't take long as it's 95% done. Stay tuned!
