  1. Welcome aboard!
  2. Thanks Rob. It sure would make a neat dio but I don't plan to do that.
  3. I think the exhaust cutout and quarter window problems can be corrected if you have the right left over Hasegawa parts. I'm hoping someone will step up and make some resin parts for this although he will have to be able to make clear parts. I plan to start on my kit as soon as I finish the Hellcat.
  4. Thanks Peter. Decaling is finished so now it's on to adding some weathering (mostly exhaust stains). Coming along fine.
  5. Thanks Martin but I feel like I do my share of griping! LOL
  6. Thanks Harv.
  7. Agreed Mike. Well, we shall see. I have plans for this one. LOL
  8. Thanks guys. Martin, I had started this build a year or so ago and decided to back-burner it for a while. It was well along when I re-started work on it.
  9. Just about ready for some decals.
  10. What about the "ventilation" window on the left of the windscreen? Did all the L's have it?
  11. Those are "L"s, not "F"s. The "L"s didn't have that little indention behind the stacks and were long-tailed. If you have the D&S for the P-40 you can find it there.
  12. Thanks. I do plan to do that.
  13. Here ya go! This is the Hasegawa exhaust piece semi-attached. Still a little bit of trimming necessary for a snug fit but, in my opinion, it's much better.
  14. Hmmmm. That might work. I'll check it out. Thanks. Did some comparing and I think some surgery to replace that area on the nose and graft on some Hasegawa parts just might solve that problem. Good idea!!!
  15. Should also be a good one for USAAF a/c.
  16. My guess is a hard landing that jarred the tank loose. The pilot was lucky that day but was lost in combat later on.
  17. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
  18. Sad but true. I'll probably do that also on the exhaust cutouts. I don't really see a way to add the slight "angle" though. Not that big of a problem though. As for the cockpit, a resin replacement, even if it's for a "E" (which is what I used for my 2 "F" Grey Matter conversions) is better than the kit supplied cockpit.
  19. I checked out what he was saying using Google Translate and he doesn't say anything about when it will be available. Or did I miss something?
  20. I had to step away for a bit as trying to get the windscreen to fit was giving ME fits. Now I'm back at it and I'm not going to let this frigger beat me LOL.
  21. Some great looking builds!
  22. Yes, I've built two of Derek's conversions. I'll take some comparison pix plus post a shot of what is shown in the Kagero book when it arrives (Thursday Amazon says). Just for now here are a couple of shots of my builds.
  23. To me the difference is clear.
  24. I guess I'm lucky as my youngest son, he's 33, always takes care of any computer problems, etc for me. He built my last two computers so any time I have a problem I get him to check it out. Very cost effective! LOL
