  1. I think I'll overspray with some Model Master 34087 as it's a bit "browner". I sure hate to have to re-paint as it takes (took) the better part of a hour. Just call me lazy! LOL
  2. Camo painting done but I'm really not happy with the results. Too green in my opinion. I used Colourcoats OD41 but I think I'll do a re-paint with something else.
  3. LOL Sorry about that!
  4. Sounds interesting.
  5. Coming along nicely Peter.
  6. Some good resin cockpit parts would be great. The really nice Vector sets have gotten very pricey now.
  7. Thanks for that! Should be very useful when the time comes. PS: As sometimes happens I have that book and just didn't realize that diagram was in it. DUH!!!
  8. I'm in no big hurry but it would be nice to know some are available somewhere.
  9. Yes. And the angle of the dangle is perpendicular to the fall of the balls when the beat of the meat is constant. LOL
  10. He did a outstanding job. As I'm lazy I'd prefer to have some ready-made tips and not have to do all the cutting, etc. However, if push comes to shove I guess I'd have to if I want a FAA a/c.
  11. Great looking Corsair Bary. Nice work.
  12. I am considering doing a FAA Corsair at some point but I have one question: Has anyone provided the clipped wingtips necessary for a FAA bird? Thanks in advance.
  13. I think so. The kit provides a base for the armored glass but it's not quite large enough to cover the space behind the IP. Looking at photos it appears the razorback jugs usually had it. The later bubble canopy a/c did not as far as I have been able to determine.
  14. I think I have it all squared away now Peter so the next step is painting.
  15. This should be a neat build. I look forward to following.
  16. Thank you Peter. I applied primer last night and, as always, some areas that need some additional attention showed up. Not a big deal though. Getting close to some painting!
  17. Thank you Martin. Coming right along.
  18. Thanks Carl. I resisted buying this kit because it was Trumpeter. The nice surprise was that it's much better than I expected. Still not a Tamiya or Hasegawa quality kit though.
  19. Thanks. Primer soon!
  20. More progress. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the wings fit. No sweat at all.
  21. One thing I have noticed is there is no coaming provided forward of the IP. I will have to scratch this.
  22. Thank you Gaz. Just about ready to attach the wings.
  23. Thanks Bill. Now it's on to the wings!
  24. Thanks Peter. I really don't understand why they even bothered to add all that stuff.
  25. I appreciate that Harv, thanks.
