  1. I don't think that's a good bet since I intend to slow down and build some models that take more time such as a HK 1/48 B-17G, etc. I'm just turning out way too many builds but, like I always say, I want to stay busy. We'll see........
  2. LOL Peter. A good many for sure but not 40 plus. 19 at last count. I need to slow down as I've run out of room! I've started boxing some of them up and storing them in a closet to keep from setting them out to get dusty, etc.
  3. Agreed Gaz. I hope I can manage to get it "presentable" but we will see. 🙄
  4. Thanks Gaz. This one is a easy build with no big problems.
  5. I figured that problem might be there before I started but decided to go on and give it a shot. Not impossible to fix but certainly not a easy thing to do.
  6. Not bad Peter, not bad at all. It even LOOKS like a P-38!!!!🙃
  7. Agreed but certainly not a walk in the park. I haven't yet addressed the problem with the contour mismatch but I guess I'll get to it when I have a pause in the Hurricane build. Not particularly looking forward to it as it looks to have a bit of cuss factor involved. 🙄
  8. Day three and well along with it. The canopy is taped in place to protect the protruding gunsight.
  9. Thanks Dennis. Since there are very few "problems", and the ones that are are minor, it goes together well. I hadn't anticipated it would go so fast!!
  10. Hoping Harv has a fast and complete recovery. 😧
  11. Thanks Martin. I got the wings attached this evening and they took some "adjusting". LOL
  12. LOL Carl! It's a easy build but the cockpit "tubing" etc IS a bit fiddly. Had me talking to myself at times......
  13. Making nice progress. This is 2 days work . So far most everything fits okay. I'll attach the wings soon so my fingers are crossed they have a good fit.
  14. The Tamiya Corsairs are all outstanding kits. Can't go wrong there!
  15. Here are a couple of shots of the progress so far. The contour problem will be hard to overcome I'm afraid. Certainly not without losing a lot of surface detail. The undersides should be acceptable after sanding and smoothing out. We'll see.
  16. The Hasegawa P-40's are really good. The Trumpeter kits have shape and accuracy issues. 🙄
  17. The belts are FineMolds Peter. Not exactly "perfect" but they will do. LOL
  18. LOL I'm glad you are optimistic Peter but I have my doubts. Time will tell.
  19. I've decided this will be my next build. Appears to be a really nice kit and, I hope, everything will fit okay. The cockpit assembly went very well with good fit throughout although pretty "fiddly" at times. I plan to model a 43 Squadron bird instead of either of the schemes supplied in the kit.
  20. Thanks Peter. As I said to Kurok, I'll work on it from time to time, etc and we'll see how it goes.
  21. Thanks! I've done a little more work on it and have pretty well "patched" the holes but the nose is slightly "oval" where it attaches to the nose of the kit which makes for a contour problem. Looks like it'll be a bear to conform. I'll still work on it from time to time but it won't be my "main" work subject but just something to do when whatever kit I'm working on has a pause, etc. 🙄
  22. That's good Peter. Take it easy and keep your fingers crossed.
  23. I hope all goes well today Peter. Fingers crossed.
