  1. I got lucky and had no problem with it. My magnifier came in very handy!
  2. Thanks for the review and info Ernie. It will come in handy whenever my kit shows up.
  3. Thanks Gaz. I went on and painted them anyway even though it was unnecessary.
  4. More progress on the cockpit. Of course the ammo area won't be visible later on. In my opinion a waste of time and effort to add stuff that could be left out.
  5. Thanks Peter. Mine was that way too and gave me fits. Very glad to be finished with the engine and all it's headaches although I expect it will be a problem later when trying to mate it to the airframe. I darn near decided to set this SOB aside and do something else! ðŸĪŠ
  6. Here are three books that are great references for the '109's. Good for parts placement and colors, etc. The one for the '109G-2 shows slightly different cockpit and engine bay arrangement but is still a good reference for any novice '109 modeler 🙄
  7. Very nice Peter. Looks like a Spitfire for sure!
  8. 100% correct Carl. I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop as they say.
  9. This kit certainly isn't a "shake and bake" build! Be prepared!!!!!
  10. I don't think so Kevin. Probably would have made things worse! LOL I think as long as you have the parts installed EXACTLY where the should go things would go better. I just seemed to have some a bit out of place which caused problems. I blame most of that on my shaky hands and eye strain. ðŸĪŠ
  11. Engine completed except for a wash and a little bit of detailing with the paint brush. High on the cuss-factor scale as those little pipes are a SOB to get placed right (shaky hands don't help either). I figure when time comes to mate it with the fuselage I'll find some "problems". We will see.
  12. Made some progress on the engine but I have to say, it's a high cuss-factor undertaking! Threading and attaching those little silver lines is NOT easy! ðŸĪŠ I broke one of the RLM 02 supports 3 times! CA and Zip Kicker are a necessity here! I just hope the rest of the build isn't so "interesting". 🙄
  13. Okay okay! I wanted to have a bit more done but since you INSIST!!!!! ðŸĪŠ
  14. LOL Phil. I still have some work to do on the engine before I post a photo. Soon though.
