Trying to go slow and easy. Working on attaching the flaps (moderate cuss-factor!).

Thank you Peter. I tried hard not to overdo it and still keep it looking "real" as shown in the accompanying photo of the real a/c. I hope to have it finished later today or maybe tomorrow.

Making some good progress on the F4U. Still have a lot of detailing and weathering to do but it's coming right along!

Thank you Chris. You are welcome!!

Thanks Kevin. I'm glad you like it.

Thanks Mike. I used a mix of Mr. Color flat black and flat white. Black with a little white mixed in to give a sort of faded black look. I call it "scale black". Works with enamels also. (Pactra used to market Scale Black years ago.)

Thanks Peter. Yes indeed it IS different! LOL Very unusual.

This will be a beauty for sure! I look forward to seeing the completed model. I had one of these in my stash but sold it a while back. Now I wish I hadn't! 🤪 -
Much better than what they give you in the kit.

Thanks Gaz!

LOL Peter.

Thanks Peter. I thought the photo was pretty well self explanatory. All I had to do is open the existing hole in the wing spar slot a little to allow the Tamiya part to fit adequately. A little trimming on the base of the fold mechanism was needed to get a satisfactory fit that would be strong enough to hold the outer wing. Then I could add the other pieces. Clear as mud???
