  1. John A second cavalier - looking forward to that build - going to be a beauty as well.
  2. John As we keep saying more and more; it's always something. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  3. Hubert Thank you for the information. Now the only real question is when are the traditional manufactures going to start 3D printing kits as opposed to IM? Not really understanding all the ins and outs of #d printing, I would assume it's the slow process of producing a finished fret as compared to the speed of IM that would be the big obstacle to overcome. seeing how fast technology evolves, I'm sure the sped of printing will greatly increase over time. I would also think as opposed to just one IM machine, manufactures would have numerous 3D printers to even out the playing field.
  4. John Nice steady and perfect progress. Looking mighty good
  5. Kriss Following with great interest - absolutely the future of the hobby. Just wondering if clear parts such as canopies can be created using 3D printing.
  6. Kriss Nice solution and some mighty nice pre-shading.
  7. Pete WOW - nothing more needs to be said. ๐Ÿ†
  8. Gaz Nice progress on the fixes and correcting the engine thrust line is a correction I can't recall anyone doing on a build before ๐Ÿ†
  9. Dave Nice going on making the inside canopy masks - something I need to try down the road.
  10. Carl Not sure how you find what you are looking for; I'm just the opposite. But seeing all your amazing work over the years, your system absolutely works for you.
  11. Gaz If Border ever did a P-38 in 35th scale, I would be first in line to buy and build the kit. As soon as I finish my current build the Tamiya P-51D, I'm planning on resuming and finishing my Tamiya P-38F Lightning build, which is ready for priming and then the paint shop. No question in my mind, it's one of, if not the finest 48th scale WWII fighter kit ever produced - detail, molding, instructions and accuracy are amazing.
  12. Dave Sure hope so as well. ๐Ÿคž
  13. Thanks Steve Just hope I have no issues with the new type of Eduard decals.
  14. Ernie Absolutely agree - A Tamiya P-38 upscaled to 32nd scale would be a dream come true and of course, I would do my share in adding to their profits. .
  15. Pete Chipping looks mighty good
  16. John You and me both โ—
  17. Dave Glad to see the Corsair is moving along and getting ready for masking. I never thought of scanning Tamiya masks - excellent idea for sure, as I do seem to mess them up at times and a second set would surely be money in the bank. I'm not sure how well the outside masks will work on the interior of the canopies as they are a different radius on the curved portions. Fingers crossed it works out.
  18. Kev is correct and I do agree with him as well.
  19. Martin Brilliant detail pics .. just how do you find these images? I can never find anything close, no matter what the subject to your photographic posts.
  20. John Seems I've been there more then once myself. Paint work looks fantastic.
  21. Mark WOW, looking mighty good.
  22. Carl Absolutely the best way to cope with the smoke. For us, the wind has shifted now from the south, so it's no smoke and lots of humidity - the best of two evils. .
  23. Harv Seems we're all in the same boat ... could be the USS Minow.
  24. Jeff Same hear and also being a cancer patient - just scary and we try to take as many precautions as possible. Not that much fun getting older these days. Just be careful and take care of yourself.
  25. Jeff Has nothing to do with toughness - for us seniors and those with medical issues, plus small children, air quality is important and needs to be monitored.
