Carl Nice progress and nothing like hours of careful sanding and shaping but will be worth all the effort in the finishing stages.

Of course, isn't that the way ... always replace or discontinue something is works perfectly and then try to reinvent the wheel.

Any thoughts on the ICM 1/48 B-26 Marauder? Is it worth $100?
Peterpools replied to CANicoll's topic in Modelling Discussion
Chris I'm in and will be buying and building one in the next few months. I waited a long time for the Marauder and so far everything I've read and seen; the kit is a winner. -
Watch the video the other night and they are surely growing. Reminds of the days I re-discovered modeling at the Squadron Shop in Syosset and the rest was history.π

Guess I'm in the minority ... just not my kind of car style. -
Thanks Scott Diane is doing much better and after our visit with the orthopedic surgeon on Monday, surgery won't be needed as the fracture should heal without it in about 7 - 8 weeks. Just a matter of time managing the pain (which is easing up) and discomfort and getting use to the special sling that keeps her arm immobile. I now have a new full-time job and am hard at work, 24/7 as needed.

Nice, I know the feeling all to well but in your capable hands, all will look absolutely perfect.

Oliver Lots of very delicate masking with neat, sharp edges - and in the end - looking mighty good.

Holy smokes Rob Incredible and I could never have accomplished the rigging and strut work anywhere as perfectly as you did. These days, I can't see that well any more plus my hand - eye coordination isn't what it once was. As with Hubert, this would easily give me nightmares for years. Have flown for many years and first soloed in taildraggers, I just couldn't imagine flying this beast, yet alone at night and actually landing it without a least a ground loop or two per week. -

John Simply stellar work and so glad you overcame the fit issues at the start of the build. I have all your notes and emails so when I build my Corsairs, I'll be able to navigate the waters without any much of a cuss factor. Paintwork and decaling are absolutely flawless. π -
John Awesome build and heading over to check it out.

Phil My vote would be for the F-16. I'm planning on converting a Tamiya 1/48 F-16C to an IAF Barak this summer as I finally have all the AM. After that, will be an IAF F-16I Sufa. Either kit you decide on building, I'll be following all the way. -
Thanks, Robs so very much appreciated. After all these years, I have developed my own style for the finish of most of my models and just enjoy looking at them in my display case as it is my miniature museum. I actually did enjoy adding all the stencils once I was on a roll, as the super smooth finish and first-class quality of the decals made the application easy and enjoyable. I've never used the HGW transfers but maybe someday. I'm just a decal guy and it's part of my normal workflow. Agreed about the PLW's, as ones that don't require solvents to final cleanup always have worked the best for me.
