  1. Dennis A huge plus in not having to clear gloss. Looking forward to your next update.
  2. John Nice progress and I'm right with Kev. Not sure if taping the wingtips to each other will both remove the wing fillet gap and increase the dihedral which seems to be too shallow or just strip plastic is the remedy. I guess it all depends how the dihedral actually looks to you, as I'm only guessing from the overhead photo. In any case, my money is riding on you to work right though the issue at hand.
  3. Dennis Some might nice progress as your air brush work looks spot on the money.
  4. Great idea but even a month would be way too short of a time for me these days.
  5. PW Thanks for posting the video - super interesting and informative. And she is one big, ungainly bird but to a pilot, she has a charm all of her own.
  6. Rob Looking mighty good and your entry is just so different from everything else we're doing. The pilot's skull painting looks spot on and so convincing.
  7. John Looking good, nice work on the front office.
  8. Kev Got ya. Sure wish there was a way for you to get your money back without being a royal pain.
  9. John Sanding and scribing surely did the trick and look so good. Nice work on shoehorning in the Eduard set and it's surely worth all the extra work.
  10. Sweet, got to love 'em. We should have a mini GB built around Egg Planes.
  11. Kev, sorry to read you were a victim and ripped off. The whole deal 'STINKS' I stay lightyears away from any of the vendors where there have been posts about taking the money and then not shipping and zero response to emails. This is the main reason I've stayed with the same few vendors all these years - I know they are legitimate, ship on time and all correspondence is replied to. I always pay with PayPal and if a vendor doesn't accept PP, I walk as there is a reason to my way of thinking. I do remember a while back we were going to have a list of vendors to stay away from, but I think that was dropped for legal reasons.
  12. Hubert, incredible progress and nothing has escaped your eye. Thoroughly appreciate the narrative of not only your progress and work but of the historical highlights you have uncovered so far on your journey; the pumps are a great story.
  13. Geez, what a letdown. Thanks for the info
  14. Just arrived from SB. Great price from SB 1400 item sale, as you almost never find ZM kits discounted.
  15. Dave Paint work is looking might good, smooth and even. I've been following your build very closely as I have a few ZM Phantoms in the stash and another due hopefully to arrive. Just got to love those F4's
  16. John Nice progress and I'm sure the engine isn't as detailed as the new revell kits but will work just fine as not much can be seen. Prop hub looks awesome and you have the spiral down pat!
  17. Mike, I'm a huge fan of Rosie the River tools and have a nice collection - they are awesome to use. Fingers crossed all the riveting goes according to plan and I'll be waiting for an update.
  18. Thanks Martin, plugging away and I'm getting there slowly but surely. And to think when I started the build, I had no idea how much would be involved in an OOB ... just goes to show how smart I am.
  19. Rob Very much appreciated, and I totally forgot about annealing the brass and for the small balance of PE left, I'll absolutely anneal. them, which should make it easier to work with. I was surprised at how little PE actually came with the kit comparing it to a much less expensive Academy Viper kit, but it is what it is.
  20. Thanks Carl. Agreed, that so far, the canopy only needed a bit of tweaking, and the fit was fine with no gaps - just got lucky. Progress has been slow with so much medically going on but I'm starting to spend more time again at the bench and maybe by the weekend will start looking at priming the basic fuselage. See how it goes.
  21. Carl Nice kits and the Despiae sander is awesome for sure. Need to start thinking about one myself.
  22. John Looking mighty good and no question, you will have the old Revell 32nd Fw 190 whipped into shape.
