This is exactly what I was about to ask! I'll shave off the tip........then she'll be perfect. Edit: That seems like A TON off the prop?
-
Thanks to Mark, I've made a big stride in obtaining one of the signature pieces forthis build. She's got a front end now.

I've been lucky thus far!

I absolutely love what you're doing here Mark. Absolutely awesome work and fantastic problem solving. -
Did a quick fit, and no issues yet, not because I'm good but because I am using a Tamiya kit. I am enjoying the subtle differences this build portrays. Martin, I'm just going to live with the seat issue, don't tell anybody .

Thanks Ernie. I haven't noticed it to this point but I will go back and verify if it needs attention or not.

I guess you could call this a riveting update.....literally. Archer rivets showed up and I spent some time applying them and painting the rear section. Dont know how well they show in pictures, but I'm very pleased with them in person.

I am going to rename this build the "LSM Rescued Mustang"

Thanks Peter. Gotthe correct glare shield painted. I may hit it with some smoke to weather it a bit but I like the sun faded black look. Much better now I believe.

Oh my, I think I found my next build?

RCAF Lanc 10MP. This really is a group effort

I love the process you're going through to transition the kit into an RCAF bird. Really cool stuff here buddy. -
Thanks Jeff. I just ordered some archer rivets to add a little detailing to the rear area. I'm honestly having a blast with this build and will certainly look into more civilian builds very soon.

Ok, I was happy that I cut a square piece of plastic to the correct size. This...this is AMAZING work. Your a true craftsman Martin. -
Thanks. This is the first time I've scratched a part, so it's a learning curve for sure. Happy with the fit:

Drop tanks are here!! Way better than what I had and the correct size too. You can see the noticeable difference between the two sizes.

I dont need my charts at 150 ft, with one feathered I'll let her roll on her own back to upright flight, and the shifted load gives me access to the emergency exits when I slide to a stop while the 2nd one burns.... Damn I'm good!

AT&T here at the house

I had to try and adapt and overcome. I appreciate the offer though!

Important parts rescued successfully!! Now to remove the tank, and cover with plastic card I guess?
-
Well damn. I went back and studied the pictures and I dont think there was anything behind the pilots seat. Reason being, theres not a fuel port anymore on the fuselage side for the cockpit fuel tank. Now I need to contemplate how to correct this or if i can...
