  1. I'm trying to figure out what would be best. I have a 109G-10, 190A-8, or 110D. Would any of these have flown during that time and period?
  2. I've got a few options I could build. I'll probably go with either a 109 or 110.

    ALOHA

My wife and I got married on the beach in front of the Grand Wielia on Maui. Had our "reception" at the luau. Best decision we ever made. I think you'll love it Harvey. Enjoy the day.
  4. Civilian birds? That certainly covers conversions.
  5. Now this I like.
  6. I do have a 190.
  7. Yea, itll take a group effort just to build 1!
  8. Since I'm still relatively new to the LSM website I was curious about the group build or contest schedule. I saw the HK one is over now, will there be another one in the near future?
  9. Looks fantastic. Welcome to the fun house.
  10. Oh I most certainly hope so. I'd have 2 right out of the gate.
  11. Thanks guys. I may take a break from the props for now and continue on the fuselage to get closer to closing it up. I'm busy getting a new type rating in May so the building rate will really slow down but this is my one and only project till it's all wrapped up. I also need to figure out what type of hard points were on the wing for the drop tanks. They're certainly not original Mustang ones.
  12. Thanks guys. I guess I'll need to make a 2 part mold like Mark suggested.
  13. 3rd attempt was better, but FAR from where it needs to be. I'm battling how to set up my mold, this is my 2nd mold I've built. I'm struggling how to get the resin in, and I'm struggling with the blade being flexible instead of solid. It is most definitely very frustrating.
  14. I'll give you that one. Thankfully we don't have the fires and earthquakes that you guys have to deal with.
  15. Please stop making me shop for float planes on Ebay...I still have a Felixstowe to finish.
  16. Thankfully the rotation never dropped here yesterday but it looks like we've got round 2 coming this afternoon. I'm used to spring shenanigans as a born and raised southerner, but I can't help but wonder what all the Californians moving here think of our Spring weather. They certainly don't get storms topping out at 70,000' out there.
  17. Ah. We have a cell moving in that just put us in a Tornado warning. Gotta love this time of year in our area. I'm glad your ok up there and stay safe.
  18. Stay safe buddy, its headed our way now.
  19. Yea, I noticed the resin trapped air and wouldn't flow down. Guess I need to learn how to make a 2 part mold.
  20. First try......not so good.
  21. What's on my bench now is something I consider a philosophical victory. Yes, a Tamiya Mustang that's an easy build, but I see it as more. This is the first time I've ever modified a kit and scratch built parts. In the end it might not turn out the best, but to me it has become more about the journey than the destination. I am pursuing 2 new "skills" in scratch building and resin casting that I have given a wide berth until now. Getting over the fear of failure and pursuing my passion to a deeper level feels really good. I can honestly thank my friends here for the support, parts, and knowledge they continually share. So, what's on my bench? Fellowship, friends, passion, and self improvement. Its amazing what a little bit of plastic can do for a guy...
  22. Excellent! I know I had seen it at HL I just wasn't sure if that was a decent enough product to work.
  23. I need to duplicate a part I made. I've never dont it and dont know where to start. It's a simple shape and should be fairly easy. What do I need to order and where would be a good place to order it to make the mold and then make resin copies?
