  1. I was told that Marines do not read books!!!
  2. Diaphanous? Were you not a Marine at some point? I thought it was illegal for Marines to use such flowery language.

    T-55 ENIGMA

I'd love to paint one just like that rusty one in the last picture!

    T-55 ENIGMA

Very cool! I LOVE T-55s! Has anyone ever made a conversion set for those armor upgrades?
  5. Holy crap, you made my eyes water just thinking about it!! Cool project! I really want one at some point.
  6. McSquizzie!!!!
  7. Right there with you on that one. been wearing orthotics for years, and my knees and back are still crap because of my dumb feet! Might help if I took some weight off of them......
  8. You might not believe this, but I plan to buy ZERO new kits this year. I even went to a large model show last weekend and spent nothing but the entry fee. I'd like to say it's because I have the utmost self control, but it's really just because I have too many other hobbies (and those annoying other expenses) that are drawing my interest right now. The only things that tempt me a little are the Kotare Spit, some of the 1/16 armor stuff from Andy's, and that Pfalz DVIII kit that Aviattic is putting out, and the Pfalz kit is around 250USD on pre-order, so that's a big no from me!! T
  9. Holy crap! If that is for real, that would be a game changer!
  10. Nope. The price exceeds my level of interest in that plane.
  11. 28 November: Still can't track Tim down. Does anyone have a way to find him? As I also mentioned on LSP, I am trying to track down Tim Skelton (formerly of Grey Matter Figures). Since the website is down, their emails no longer work. Does anyone know of a way to contact him, especially some of our UK members? Thanks, Tim
  12. Hubert, I'm glad I'm not the only one left who is appalled by this trend!!
  13. I have the weed whacker, and I love that cheap-ass thing!
  14. Could be....
  15. And I'm fascinated that he didn't spend 2 seconds using spell check when typing the meme. It would seem that if you are going to criticize someone for making a typo on something so visible, you might want to make sure you don't do it too. Can you detect that I'm a little disgusted with how dumb our society has gotten recently?
  16. I have all of the above: Milwaukee, Dewalt, Makita, plus a bunch of Ryobi One+ 18V battery tools, and some Harbor Freight crap that should have died long ago, but hasn't. I'm loyal to whatever does the job and doesn't break my budget. My favorite ones are my dad's 50 year old Craftsman power tools that are still going as strong as ever, as opposed to the modern "Crapsman" ones.
  17. Yes, I tried those when I was a kid, and you could still buy them surplus. I do not recall it being especially good, but edible. I loved the round chocolate cookies!!
  18. Same as mincemeat pies without the meat? Are they good? If they are anything like Vegemite in OZ, count me right the hell out. Never tried Haggis either.
  19. What the heck are those?
  20. Title speaks for itself, thanks!
  21. That would have been funnier if it used proper grammar.
  22. What kind of wheel chocks you looking for, Mike?
  23. I always love a P-38 model - very well done!
  24. Just FYI, this is a Bula Defense M21 DMR receiver with a Bula NM 19.25" barrel, and was set up as an XM-21 clone like the Vietnam vintage rifles. The originals were modified M14s with the rail added like this one. The DMR receivers are nice because the rail has a groove in it that allows use of the iron sights, and can be removed entirely if desired, unlike a modern M21 receiver, on which the rail is integrated. That front sight is made by Smith Enterprises and is designed for use with certain muzzle accessories, which this rifle's previous owner had on it. It is also used on many SOCOM style M14s by the US military. The new owner has installed a new Fulton NM USGI style flash hider, and is waiting on a standard gas lock in the mail before installing the new NM front sight. The SEI sight is rather nice, though, as it sits slightly higher than the stock setup. It will be kept for possible future use. Smith also makes an extended bolt release that is standard on all US military M14s now. One of those has been backordered as well. And we thought model building was expensive....
  25. I'm not actually saying who bought this (cuz big brother probably keeps a record of such things) but whoever it was still needs to put optics on it. He just can't afford it because he's really broke now. It's a good thing he doesn't have any other hobbies to spend money on.
