  1. Martin, What made you decide to go with the kit main wheels rather than the resin ones you have? Your engines look simply amazing!! Chris
  2. Ernie, Cockpit looks great, as does the interior. At least you have the pictures to remember what it looks like after the fuselage is closed up. Chris
  3. @DocRob If I remember correctly, isn't EZ Line flat?
  4. I love the AEG kit, and of course WNW is/was in a class of their own. For me, it is just all that rigging that kills me. I never felt like I could do those kits proper justice.
  5. ##% (Figure that one out!)
  6. Phil, I think their Metal Range is terrific. VERY easy to apply, not a lacquer, and over a nice primer base the paint is very sturdy. Good luck! Chris
  7. Looks terrific! Eduard's tyres are a huge improvement. Amazing how little is seen of the cockpit however.
  8. Wow, you are making amazing progress. Looks terrific.
  9. Great work on the main gear legs, brilliant! Chris
  10. Ok, If Martin is doing the A-20 there is no way I'm doing mine! Nope, nope!! Thinking of a F-4 Phantom now...
  11. Mike, beautiful work, on the plane, figures and base. Multi-talented! Welcome and looking forward to seeing more of your work. Chris
  12. Ack! I'm already a week late. Choices, choices, now that Peter is in with the F-14... Arrgh. I've been wanting to do a Vietnam Phantom for ages.... Still contemplating...
  13. Guy, The oil weathering looks terrific. I know these boats were heavily used (and abused) but I like how you used the oils. Thanks a million for showing WHAT oils you used as well. Chris
  14. Cool, I've bought some of his canopies (Revell P-51D) as his clear resin is amazing. He's a good guy, too. Met him at Telford.
  15. Scott, Where is the A-20 nose gear from?
  16. Hold the presses!! I was emptying out the box and THIS appeared in the bottom of the box, under all the wrapping paper. Bonus!! (But wow, I was going to toss the box but decided to keep it to pack away holiday decorations. Whew!!) Even comes with insignia masks and a clear sheet (which will someone please tell me what that is for?) I'm already thinking of Baby Blitz II.... Christmas just keeps getting better and better!!
  17. What in the world is he doing?? Going into stealth mode?
  18. I'll give it a good think about what I should build....
  19. Speaking of Ernie, THIS ARRIVED TODAY! YAY!! Thank you Ernie! What could THIS be??? Its HERE!!! 🕺
  20. PW: Whew! Looks terrific, especially the 'wood' fuselage and those home-made buckles. Nice job on that exhaust pipe, too. Cheers! Chris
  21. Definitely looking good and those eyelets are amazing. I do like those Eduard kits - simple, but easy to detail at the same time. Looking forward to your next update. Chris
  22. Hmm. Ok, good to know about the kit, thanks for sharing. I have the Revell 1:72 Type IX C/40 (U 190) kit in my closet. 183 parts! I'm almost afraid to open it up and start on it as I don't know where I would put it IF I finished it.
  23. Zooming into the photo the two guys standing on the wing, behind the pilot, are not doing anything other than looking INTO the cockpit floor with their hands in the pockets. Very casual - as is the rest of the ground crew. The pilot seems to be adjusting something on his right hip. All three guys by the bicycle seem to be looking at the fuselage close to the front of the wing. Battle damage? Something from the front of the fuselage entered the cockpit? No clue what has generated so much casual attention. John, nice model of this aircraft! Chris
