  1. Thanks, Carl. I did one before but without the goodies so this will be a much better build.
  2. This arrived the other day but I finally am able to post pictures. Thanks to @TJTX for this nice 104 with some extra goodies from the Christmas Raffle.
  3. I just changed a setting on my cell phone camera. Seems to have worked... Changed to a lower resolution.
  4. Something strange is going on. Here is a picture I took with my cell phone a few weeks ago, and it posts just fine.
  5. Hi Jeroen, I'm mostly taking pictures with my Android phone, opening them with the photo app in Windows to down-res to something smaller than 2MB. These are saved as a .jpg. This has usually worked in the past, but lately I've had the -200 error several times. Thanks for your help!
  6. @JeroenPeters I hope it is ok that I tagged you on this. I've been getting the -200 error for a few days now and can't post any pictures. I thought it was a sizing issue, but the pictures I'm trying to post are far less than 2MB. Any thoughts? Thanks!
  7. Carl, Exactly!!! I think that is what makes this so cool - it really is like watching a total off-frame restoration. Cool!
  8. Rob, The kit itself is amazing, but equally amazing is how much work (really skill) you are demonstrating in putting it together. Fascinating to watch. The magnet idea is terrific. I used those magnets on a Tamiya P-51 build to make it easy to remove the drop tanks. I only have about 50 magnets left from that! Good luck! Chris
  9. My eyes hurt just looking at those hinges and then having to fill and redrill the holes to get a better fit. Wow...
  10. Damn, but you are HOME!!!! You and Jane, Congrats!!!
  11. Strange looking bird, Carl, but you've done a super nice job on that paint scheme and the underwing pieces. Wow, that is a LOT of work. Three pieces per rocket?? Nice work on the elevator tabs. Agreed that painting is better than decals. The fit of the kit looks really tight from here. Beautiful.
  12. Nice John! I have not tried the Has P-40 kits but your cockpit looks terrific OOB. Wow
  13. Rog. DAMN. Amazed at what you are having to deal with but also at your great attitude and clear vision for your future, inclusive of Jane. That positive attitude is fantastic. Certainly you have down days, but I hope things keep coming together for you. Good luck on the jobs front, of course!
  14. No worries. Hope you feel better soon!!
  15. Mike: I just searched for VMS and found their stuff on the Hobbyworld website. Is this the stuff you are referring to on the tarps? VMS - WFU Modeling Paper I'm sure you found this video on using their Modeling Paper. VMS has a ton of how-to videos. Never found them before... I seem to always learn something new from you!
  16. Oh, I do have a *lot* of wine bottle tin foil!
  17. Pete, If you haven't ordered this yet I can send you my bottle. I keep forgetting I even have it, but I can see where it would be useful over old decals to keep them from fracturing. LMK.
  18. Mike, incredible work on, well, ALL of this! The detail is amazing and I'm amazed at the pushrod work. The fuel bowser to me looks like a baby buggy, every time I see one. Can't help it! Nice work on the cowlings - I'm looking forward to seeing how you do the tarps. Could come in handy sometime! Have a good Christmas? Sounds like it was a quiet one. Happy New Year, neighbor!
  19. One of my favorite planes!
