  1. I think I see F-4 intakes, and perhaps some tank spindle bits? I'm with Scott. I'd lose what little is left of my mind. Heck I can't keep ONE kit organized!
  2. Nice job!! I have never heard of using thinner as a decal softener, but the results are fantastic. These panels look amazing, without the cost of a 3D Printed set. Beautiful. Following along and you may force me to get my ZM F-4C out of the closet....
  3. Nice work! What did you use for the formation light on the tail? Is that a decal, Eduard PE or something else? Thanks!
  4. PW, You know, not my favorite subject but you really did execute it so well. What a looker. Love your metal work and weathering, nice job! Really like that you built a 'test kit' to try out the paints, but my efforts trying out paints/weathering are nothing like what you did. Beautiful!
  5. Rod, Beautiful job on an impressive kit. Love the B-17G but have only built the Monogram/ProModeller kits. Your finish and weathering are top-notch - well done. But your photography really pulls in the subject. Looking forward to more pictures.
  6. Nicely done! Agreed with everyone on the 'less is more' when it comes to the diorama. And with Mike on watching your work, and learning from it.
  7. Awesome work! Love the details and the story and seeing how you stage something, then get it painted and set in place. Fantastic work and great to be able to follow along. Thanks for sharing!
  8. Martin, That looks awesome!! Nice work on the weathering.
  9. I have the RB Productions metal Wood airbrush stencil set as well as the plastic AK flexible airbrush stencils - just have not used either of them yet... I would think you would have to be careful to lift the stencil straight up to avoid smudging the paint? I go through a lot of low-tack home DIY tape when I'm masking camo lines. Inexpensive and comes in big rolls.
  10. Somehow or another I've stumbled across Propeller 77 and their product line of stencils and work bench accessories. Has anyone used their stencils? Check out here and here. They also have some paint and glue holders. The stencils look very interesting, especially the squiggly line one for Luftwaffe planes. Any thoughts? Thanks! Chris
  11. Kevin, I'm with Mike - I think the finish is terrific. Nicely done!
  12. PW: I can't seem to find your build thread. Can you send me the link? Cheers! Your finish is excellent - best I've seen for a weathered NMF.
  13. Hang in there, Peter. Good to hear you and Diane are doing well and have a positive outlook - you both have been through so much this year. But sorry to hear about Joel's eyesight. Hoping he's able to keep working the hobby one way or the other.
  14. What a Classic! Beautiful and you are spot on with the markings - a huge decal would not have looked right. Love how the roundel for the cross is up on the step of the wagon body. A little detail but very cool.
  15. Thanks, Carl! It was a nice build after the F-4 Phantom.
  16. And really easy to erase if you want to try something else!
  17. That narrative is what really adds value to these build threads. I love it! Not to mention, your build technique is excellent - the work you are doing is beautiful.
  18. I didn't know Radu did a conversion for this kit. Wow. And that is some shrinkage. Water must have been COLD!!! Cool that you can 3D print stuff like this. I wonder if it would be helpful if we had a library here on LSM where people could post the 3D printing files they would not mind sharing? Nice fit of the nose to the fuselage. Probably the best fit of the entire kit...
  19. I didn't get to keep the bow. Darn it! Wow, that is only after a year??? I'm almost afraid to do the Audi. It has some battle scars, but oh well..
  20. I know a lot of the stuff we use is flammable, but to outright use lighter fluid just hits me wrong. If they called it something else I'm sure my delicate sensitivities wouldn't know the difference...
