  1. Started work on the camo. Ofcourse most of this will be covered in winter camo.
  2. Finally happy with the nacelles. Rlm70 next… wanted to order masks from Maketar but they seam to be under construction for the time being.
  3. I kept finding little seams and blemishes. Fixed them and touched up.
  4. To get an idea. The Kettenkraftrad towing the Hs129
  5. I’m going for a winter scheme (white K) so the bottom recieves rlm65
  6. Almost done with the marbled base coat. Polishing the whole thing now creates some nice contrasts.
  7. Here we go. First paint is on. Semi gloss black marbling. Gives me a good idea of small imperfections too.
  8. Adding wires to the guns as per reference photo’s. It’s slow going but the painting stage is getting closer.
  9. Managed to get the legs sort of right. Fitted them to the rest of the model and now I understand how they struggled to fit everything in the fuselage. The legs will need serious tweaking to fit around the engine.
  10. Recieved this book today. Mainly photos of models, but a few new insights as well. Like this oen drawing of the supposed cockpit.
  11. Adding rivets to the engine covers. not much longer before paint…
  12. Started work on the main gear. Pretty complicated construction. The lower parts of the legs are Bf109K, but everything else is unique and looks unnecessary complicated.
  13. Started painting the props. One prop will have damage as per this photo i found.
  14. I'm really picking the model apart in order to make it printable and workable for my limited 3D skills. The nose is now a separate section with a hole for the pit, nose wheel and air intake. The rear fuselage is now hollow to accommodate the fuel tanks and wing sweep mechanism.
  15. So much measuring to do. At the moment trying to find out what kind of nose wheels was used.
  16. Roughly putting everything together in 1:1 scale. The wings were me262 wings. I might source some from a Revell or Trumpie kit. The main wheels were Me109K wheels. Might source them too.
  17. Thnx Martin, Yes I have these pics. I think I have all the photo's that can be found. What is not known is what the cockpit looked like. I do have photo's of the Bell X-5 that derived from the P.1101 and will interpret these with what I know of German Luftwaffe cockpits. The engine is nearing completion. Can't wait to do a printing test run.
