This model almost took me an entire year to make. I took no short cuts and really dove into the subject, since this is one of my all time favorites. On the base you'll see two data placards. The oblong one on the front of the base comes from the only surviving cockpit when it was still on display in a small museum. This is before it was sold to the states. The round cover comes from a fuel sensor (meter) from a Hs129. The Kettenkraftrad is from Tamiya and was upgraded with a Voyager PE set, scratch built items, a 3D printed front end (insane detail!) and 3D printed sprocket and winterketten. The model itself is my own conversion of a Hs129B2/R3 to a R2. This means it has a Mk103 cannon instead of the Mk101 as supplied. I used the Quinta Studio cockpit detail set, Master Barrels for the cannons, a Voyager pitot tube and last but not least... 1manarmy masks. This means not a single decal was used. The mk103 cannon, the open propellor hub, all the inspection hatches and other detail were 3D drawn by me and 3D printed. The scheme depicts the White K as seen in many reference books. Enjoy!

Thnx Gunnar! The ailerons are an easy fix. But the fuel tanks will be a real challenge. Mostly because of the bulging character. Not sure how to tackle this yet… I’ll see what i can come up with! -

Looking at photo’s of the real aileron i can see the riveting on the model is total fantasy. I’ll need to sand the whole aileron smooth and start over. -

So. With the Hs129 as good as done, i couldn’t wait to clear the bench. As a matter of fact it’s not cleared by far, but here goes! To get into the mood I added some more knobs and a gauge (gifted by Cees Broere) to the Spitfire instrument panel. -

First steps of the gunsight. Inside this arrangement I will place a Quickboost Revi 12 gunsight. On the side I will add two thin wires that go through the small holes of the louvres.

So i fudged up and accidentally threw away the gunsight parts… Guess i’ll have to design and print my own now…

Thnx! Actually i’m not using the damaged base. This is a different one

Almost there. Need to attach all the hatches. Add an aerial wire. And some other small bits. Aah, and the gunsight. Note the hinging PE nightmare engine hood on the Kettenkraftrad

If you look at reference photos you’ll see the plugs securing the gun in closed position dangling on chords.
-
Correct. I have both original complete rounds. The mo108 is pretty easy to find. The mk103 not easy.
-
No. The gun only flipped out when serviced. The cover i left of. Why? Because the cover was left of in service often. Like on this white K

Thnx for all the replies! I understand the reluctance. But on the other hand: FB is my main lifeline to the modellingworld. This forum my second. Afraid of my details floating around? Not one bit. Nothing is private anyway. Perhaps that’s why i use my full name on this forum as well.

Thnx Gunnar! Question: it looks as if the exhaust stub consists of 2 parts. One part connected to the cowling and one connected to the exhaust? Or am i wrong? -
