Final inventory

Almost finished all the major subassemblies

Started work on the canopy. The thin PE cables are flat, so i replaced them with thin brass rod.

Trust me. I haven’t figured it out yet! I just take my time and try to really work out the sequence. You PE work looks fine to me!

Flaps done. Turned out a little easier than i thought.. preparing all panels for RLM02. And there are quite a few..

A strange melange of detail. Almost if more than one company put this together.. Looking forward to this!

Was not happy with the louvre controls and some other things so re-did them.

More work on the hatches

One step further with the louvre controls.

Some testing

Moving on to the rear engine hatches. These are not included in the Eduard engine set. So i will scratch them. Asked for references on Facebook and recieved a ton of photo’s on FB and email. Both from Steve mcGready and Ricardo Dacoba. Cut out the louvres. Smoothened the inside. Filled a tab with greencard. Added a flange and started adding detail.

The HGW eecals for the ailerons were tough to get right, but luckily i had a second set.

Ehh ... wow!!!

The cannon ports should have a flange. So closed them off with greencard and opening them op with a smaller diameter. Also smoothened the ailerons in prep for the HGW rib detail.

Here’s pics of the starboard aileron part. You can make out the paint on the linen. Topside rlm74? And underside rlm76.

Fuselage mated with wings. Only need to smoothen out the joints.

There are 3 different blisters. Two different for the mg151. On with a central ejection chute and one with the chute to one side. Ejecting the casings outward. The mk108 had different blisters with the chutes next to it.

This works.

Not sure what Revell was trying to achieve on the fabric surface. Sanded it all smooth in preparation of HGW fabric detail.

Recieved the 3D printed bulges!

No... can’t be bothered. Won’t contact Eduard either. Already cut the kit props to accommodate the Eduard hub.

In other news: the brassin prop hub and blades are all badly deformed and dont react well to hot water...
