Holy Smokes, I get to correct Hubert for the very first time and most like won't happen again:

Robert Conrad played Pappy Boyington

😂

Talk about mind confusion … I thought Robert Conrad and wrote Richard Wagner …

Thanks for pointing out my mistake, and apologies to John for the thread drift …

Looking so good and you have the "Corsair" magical touch for sure. Tamiya should make you a Corsair Ambassador.

Thanks Peter. Agreed! And supply me with all the Corsair kits I want for free! LOL 🤣

Making more progress with painting underway. This is the a/c I'm planning. It's a F3A-1 Corsair built by Brewster. Unfortunately Brewster didn't do too well building the Corsair with many management problems. I think this is the only one still around.

Nice progress and a Brewster Corsair for the collection - now something. painting is my favorite part of any build and once there, you're officially in the homestretch.

I don't think we'll see many, if any, Brewster Corsair builds. Another something out of the usual. :)

Looking good John. Btw, « management issues » seems a synonymous acronym for Brewster. The key reason, plus a funky U/C design for a carrier-based fighter, for the failure of the Buffalo.

Hubert

Yes indeed Hubert. That was a terrible u/c design on the Buffalo. :)

Looks great 👍.....harv

Thanks Harv! The final step after painting and decaling is a overspray of clear semi-gloss since the "real deal" it's modeled after is fairly glossy. :)

I wish someone did a Goodyear F2G conversion for the Tamiya kit. I'd get at least one that's for sure.

Carl

Thanks Carl. I too would like a F2G conversion for the Tamiya a/c. I think that's a great looking bird! :)
