You'd never know of her misadventure - looks terrific.  What a great shape for an aircraft!

I'm glad I could save the build but it was mighty "iffy" at one point 😄. Thanks!!!

Great save and the 104 with her markings is looking so good

Thanks Peter. Decaling has been completed so now I'll do the rest of the build (canopy, gear, etc). Just might have it finished later today! :)

Great job on the decals and can't wait to see the next update where she'll probably be done.

Carl

Thanks Carl. I'm hoping to finish it today so we will see. :)

Hey Carl. Did you have any trouble with the interior canopy parts? They gave me fits! I finally got them installed thanks to regular cement, CA glue and CA Kicker. They still aren't "right" but that's the way it is. Too bad they can't hear what I was saying to them!!! LOL😄

Looking good, John.  Looks naked without sidewinders, tho.

Thanks Gaz. I just didn't want to put the "winders" on it. :)

This was the first time it peeled like this. I think it was due to the primer and plastic not "bonding" well as the peel off was the Alclad gray primer and micro filler with the Alclad aluminum on top. When I got all that removed and sprayed the model with Testor's gloss white as a primer then sprayed more Alclad aluminum over that I had no more problem. I don't know why the Alclad primer and micro filler didn't work well with the Hasegawa plastic unless it had something to do with the age of the kit. I've never had much problem with Alclad peeling off either. 😕

John, I built the Italeri kit which did have issues with the piping being warped. So probably a different problem. Lol.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I was wondering as getting those together was a "adventure". LOL

Same here. No tip tanks too if I can get away with it.

I'm using the tip tanks as they seem to just look good on the a/c. LOL :)

Just checked out your completed/finished photos and the 104 looks so good. I wish I had the same control with the Whirlwind as you did with the 104 and just put it on the SOD until things calmed down.

Yes, I know how it can be Peter. Frustration and aggravation! Been there, done that as they say. :)
