Thank you guys….. spend few hours over the propellers a little bit of backtracking took place as well. After modifying the backplates/ engine nacelles to fit Tamiya propeller assembly I’ve realized that I didn’t have the matching spinners and backplates.

,,,since the HKM spinners are generally correct I decided to graft Tamiya paddle blades on HKM hubs.  Fairly easy job if you take your time with a noticeable difference.

I still can't believe I sent the wrong spinner and back plates to you. I'm glad you've been able to work around that. Still feel bad though for making the extra work for you.

Hey you modelling people or the world :).  A quick update from my kitchen. 
a little sanding was done on the fuselage transition joint, in the progress I had to sacrifice the connecting strap(?). The front section was still too bulged and the bloated curves were protruding into the nose area. You can see the sanded area under the canopy all the way to the wing root. Now it comes closer to the sleek looks of the real plane….. its not perfect, but I can’t push it any further, without completely reworking the lower profile of the nose section.

Ok I managed to Polish it off. But the glue etched way too deep so the framing has gone in the process.

Some mighty fine delicate work and something I would shy away from trying. You're a braver man then me.

Martin, you could try using Mr Surfacer to replicate the framing. Mask off the inner and outer edges of the frame, then apart Mr Surfacer 500. You'll need to thin it and it'll take a few coats to build up. It won't be as proud as the original but at least won't be flush.

Looking good - I know your pain as I had to make all my own masks for the Kingfisher greenhouse canopy. Too me days to do. Of course, removing the masks at the end, is painless and only takes a few minutes.

masking canopies is the most enjoyable part of a build for me. Tamiya tape and a really sharp knife, I have to remind myself to breath as I focus through the magnifying glass. It's even more enjoyable with rubbish moulded framework. I'm a weirdo I know and have yet to slip and cut my finger (7 years of butchery when I left school made me fed up with trips to the hospital to stitch up cuts and gave me a strong focus when using a knife !!!).   Really enjoying your build.

First time I heard anyone say masking canopies is their favorite part of a build but a tool we need to get better reacquainted as some of the older and smaller models, lack masks set that can't be purchased.

Any chance of doing a tutorial on how you go about making masks? There are quite a few 1/72 kits I would like to build but can't find any mask sets and in a scale that small, I've failed so often.

Hey Neil,

thank you for stoping by and your support. I didn’t make my self clear enough. I’m designing the masks for my plotter. So it’s more of a software work than old school tape and cut. 
 

did some more sanding and polishing and now I’m happy with the “shine” lol

Well, Martin look at you go.  My mojo-less days also coincide with low amounts of forum reading.  Had to do a major catch-up.  Needless to say, I didn't expect any fusealge re-shaping....  but there you go surprising me again.
