Martinnfb Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 T-34 had 3 different settings, normal surface, one for hard surface and last one for mud and loose surface. This was done by moving the idler wheel up and down. 1. Body of wheel 2. Rubberized tyre 3. Crank 4. Toothed ring 5. Bracket 6. Worm wheel 7. Worm 8. Flange 9. Nut 10. Stop bolt 11. Casing of track adjuster 12. Roller bearing 13. Ball bearing 14. Spacer bush 15. Armoured cap 16. Armoured plug 17. Cover with gland 18. Castellated nut 19. Adjusting packing 20. Ring 1
Martinnfb Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Also the T-34 had floating trucks, where the pins were not secured in the links and as the tracks move they are passing a point on the hull that presses the loose pins back in. Check out the loose pins. Simple, smart and effective 3

Check out the loose pins. Simple, smart and effective I bet the pins striking that plate contributes to a lot of the track noise on the ones I've heard in person. There is definitely a load "clacking" sound noticeable - that's probably what I'm hearing. 3
Daniel_Roxy Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Looks really good. Personally being also an avid game player I use WarThunder for images and ideas of things like how stuff should look. The tanks are modeled really well and you can preview anything in any nation so gives a good 3D model you can look at. Might be helpful might not. 3
FullArmor Posted January 28, 2024 Author Posted January 28, 2024 I am using meng nuts and bolts set B (SPS-007) to create some detailed rivets/bolts to engine grille. 6
FullArmor Posted January 28, 2024 Author Posted January 28, 2024 Also i will add some bolts to suspension arms. I will share more photos when finished. 1
FullArmor Posted January 28, 2024 Author Posted January 28, 2024 You can convert 1/35 scale blueprints to 1/16 by multiplicating dimensions by 2.18. 1 1
FullArmor Posted February 1, 2024 Author Posted February 1, 2024 I added some weldseams. Pinstriker wearpattern. I must cover that phillips srew somehow. 6

FullArmor Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 Does anybody know what kind of antenna goes here? How long? Any advice is welcome! 1
FullArmor Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Antenna. I did not find any reference photos so i did build this. Correct me if this is all wrong. 1
FullArmor Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 Build mostly finished. Perhaps i will add some stowage and more battle damage. 2
jep1210 Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 Very nice. As for the antenna, I'm no expert but it looks perfect to me. 1
FullArmor Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 Some stowage added: -Log taken from trumpeter T-72 kit. -Metal assault rifle SVT40 in 1/16 from https://www.rctank.de/Metal-assault-rifle-SVT40-in-1-16-unpainted -SOL - 1/16 water canister, 20l from https://www.rctank.de/SOL-1-16-water-canister-20l -Metal MP 717 / PPSh 41 with magazine, 2 pcs in 1/16 from https://www.rctank.de/Metal-MP-717-PPSh-41-with-magazine-2-pcs-in-1-16-unpainted This is wehrmacht item but perhaps soviets have stolen it in campaign 😉 SVT40 too big to fit well inside and thus left outside🧐 PPSh 41 is fine but perhaps not using it. Because it wouldn't make sense to leave this outside. 🧐 I will save this my trumpeter SU-100 build which has interior. 3
DocRob Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 A very nice build with lots of attention to detail, which somehow skipped my attention until now. I would have imagined better detail on a kit in this scale, but on the other hand, it´s a pleasure to follow your modifications and detailing. Cheers Rob
