Best advice is to use them over a glossy surface, so you can remove as much of the wash as you want. Semi mat and mat finishes and a lot of the wash remains on the surface for a weathered look, which seems the way you're using it. denders Posted March 28 Author Share Posted March 28 Thanks, Peter. Yeah, a glossy surface is always better for using this type of wash unless you really want to have a little of it stay behind. It is less "smelly" than using the enamel-based panel line washes. Onward, lots of surface to cover and I prefer doing different areas at a time and not all of it at once.
