Peterpools Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Just a big fan of the 727, as it was the first commercial jet I flew on as a passenger - quite an experience back then. 2 1

We walked through the 727 at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry. Edward was impressed by the airstair at the rear of the place under the tail. The rear engine placement threw him off a bit until I explained the ducting. 2
Peterpools Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 If we're really serious about offering suggestions for our next GB, a few suggestions: An oldie kit: manufactured before 1975 Any racing subject: aircraft, boats, auto Any non military subject 4
Martinnfb Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Sorry guys , I was out for a few days. Great idea to brainstorm. I love your ideas Peter. What about SANDBOX G.B. ? Anything desert/sand/tropical related. So many options. 7 1
BlrwestSiR Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Ohhh, a Davis Monthan diorama! In 1/32!!! Might be a bit big. Otherwise sounds like a great idea Martin. 1
Martinnfb Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Racers have also lots of potential. Or whatever of competitive nature. What about a TALLIES GB ? 3
BlrwestSiR Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 Racers could be fun too. Different paint finish for some of us. I definitely have some kits along those lines. 5

E46, the greatest generation, we shall never forget Martin, the cars I've missed out on because the timing was slightly off or we didn't know they'd explode in value. In the mid 2000's, Nissan R32 GT-Rs were $12-18K CAD and you could find lots of them. Then the 2010s arrived, they became legal for US import and their prices shot through the roof. Nice ones are now $80K and up. In USD on top of it! Never mind what's happened to 964s and 993s. 1
