denders Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 After being at NATS, I've got the itch to start several things. This is one of them. I had purchased this kit from Dennis a while back and after reading the Eagle Editions Autobiography by Wolfgang Falck, this would be used for one of his aircraft. I'm leaning toward Aircraft No. 4. The only other possibility would be Aircraft No. 3. Dave 6

denders Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 I thought I'd do this since some of us, including me, hasn't built one of these. I seem to recall seeing some comments that the Dragon instructions aren't all that clear in some areas. I guess I'll find out. I've also downloaded the Revell instructions for reference too. First, the clear parts which I thought I was missing some of them, but the one set had fallen onto the floor and was 'hiding'. Other parts. There are two of each of these sprues. While preparing the first photo for upload, I noticed the exhaust ports look kinda rectangular. I'm not sure that's correct. I'll have to look into it. Decals and other bits that come with the kit. If you look closely at the area of the brass seat belts, you'll notice small bits of wire which appear to be substitutes for the plastic radar antenna elements. I haven't looked into it on the instructions yet. Although, the aircraft that I'm planning on building doesn't have radar. Dave 6
denders Posted August 12, 2024 Author Posted August 12, 2024 Now for the AM that I've collected. Decals Quinta cockpit set. Other wheels Eduard stuff. I used a set of the rudder pedals on the Fw190 that I built. 4
Peterpools Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 Dave Nice assortment of AM for the project. Looking forward for the big 110 to be underway.
denders Posted August 26, 2024 Author Posted August 26, 2024 I went looking on Hannant's for something for the F-4E and decided to add these for the Bf-110. I guess it's about time to get started. 5
BlrwestSiR Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 Another one that I've got in the stash as well. I built the C-7 version and enjoyed it a fair bit once I figured out the destructions. Speaking of which, Brett Green did an corrections list for the instructions. You should be able to Google it and find a copy. It's handy to have. Glad you picked up the Quickboost exhausts. Much easier than trying to hollow out the kit ones. Somehow Dragon missed that when they designed the kit. 3
KevinM Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Dave I did Revells rebox not the night fighter but much the same the panels around the engine was the only issue I had . 2
Spitfire Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I have 2 of these in the stash so it will be interesting to follow this build, lead on. Cheers Dennis 2
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted August 28, 2024 Administrators Posted August 28, 2024 Lovely! Have this kit too in the stash with all the goodies. AND want to build Falck's mount as well. I have several autographs of him, signed photo's and even a hand written letter in which he writes to a pilot he shot down once. Will follow this! 3

Somehow Dragon missed that when they designed the kit. As a note for others looking at this thread, the Brett Green instructions correction list is for the Dragon C-7 kit. I have the Dragon D/E kit. You'll still need to do your homework. The first item on the list for step 1 has been corrected in the D/E instructions. The second and third items for Step 1 is still useful information. 3
denders Posted January 22 Author Posted January 22 Well, this one fell by the wayside while I was working on other models. It's time to get back to it. The first thing to do is decide on some of the AM. I have some AM which is a duplicate function. The next will be what "black" to use that isn't really black. 4
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted January 22 Administrators Posted January 22 Nice. I have a couple of signed memorabilia from Falck. Even a handwritten letter he wrote to an allied pilot after the war. Also a couple of interesting books on (and from) him. Will follow 3
denders Posted Saturday at 05:13 PM Author Posted Saturday at 05:13 PM Started, some paint and PE underway. The Eduard cockpit set includes separate instrument pieces. In most cases the PE is attached on top of the molded in instruments which adds more depth. There are some locations which require some of the detail work to be removed. PE work is reserved for the evenings when the caffeine from the morning coffee has worn off. 4
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted Saturday at 07:47 PM Administrators Posted Saturday at 07:47 PM Nice work. Do you have the book: The Happy Falcon? Here’s something for your inspiration: 3
denders Posted Saturday at 11:19 PM Author Posted Saturday at 11:19 PM Thanks, I have Jerry Crandell’s book.
denders Posted Monday at 01:25 AM Author Posted Monday at 01:25 AM All the PE bits are on the IP and radio rack. Now to look through photos and add some tiny bits of paint. 3
denders Posted Tuesday at 02:23 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 02:23 AM Continuing on with more PE parts. 3
