JohnB Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I've decided to build another P-40K using Tim's resin tail piece and a Hasegawa P-40E. I'm considering these two but haven't decided for sure which one just yet. 🙂 9

belugawhaleman Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Just a question; what's the difference between the resin and the kit tail? Are there fit problems with the kit's tail? I'm not familiar with Hasegawa's P40 kits. Nice work so far BTW. 2

The resin tail is to convert it to a "K" which had a fillet added to the leading edge. 3 1

JohnB Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 I'm expecting the new tail piece to show up the first of next week. Then I can resume work on this kit. 3

I'm always game for another Warhawk from JohnB. BTW, I need a resin K tail for a project I'm planning to do one day. I thought I would do it myself with scrap plastic and putty...but who am I kidding? This resin tail will just save time and hassle. 2

JohnB Posted March 11 Author Posted March 11 Resin "K" tail installed. Nearly ready to start painting. 🙂 8
JohnB Posted March 13 Author Posted March 13 I ran out of Testor's OD so I'll have to put this one aside until my order shows up from Scale Hobbyest. Probably mid-week next week. I think I'll do some preliminary work on the Gey Matter Corsair set in the meantime. 2
ScottsGT Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Looks great John! I just got back into town after visiting our daughter in VA for a few days. I’ve got quite a bit of touch ups to do on my camo edges. But tomorrow….. 2

JohnB Posted March 17 Author Posted March 17 I had the P-400 pics here by mistake but now I've moved them to their correct spot. 2

BlrwestSiR Posted Tuesday at 07:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:07 PM Look great there. Hard to beat a shark mouth on a P-40. 2

It's coming along well (fingers crossed!) and I figure I'll have it finished in a couple more days (it sat there 3/4's done for several weeks so it's time to finish it up.) 🙂
