Martinnfb Posted July 28 Author Posted July 28 You guys really think that this was a battle damage? 6
belugawhaleman Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Viewing this really made me miss our Mikey...but in a good way. He was our poodle for just over 18 years. I mean Our dog because he belonged to our entire family..... He remembered everyone in our family, greeting them with equal joy.Despite actually belonging to my mother. He really treated me, and other family members with equal love. without really having reason, In my case, to do do so. So, we forgave him for his bad behavior at times. G*d I miss him. Thanks Martin.---too maudlin? Oh well , Hell.

CANicoll Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Unless someone wants it, the Italieri B-52G is likely to join this list... I also have some older built models I think I need to part with. Just one of those things. 1

Martinnfb Posted November 27 Author Posted November 27 I have to add that this bag is not going to landfill but the local hobby store to a consignment section for someone to enjoy for a fragment of its actual cost. Damn, I feel like mother Theresa now. 3

ScottsGT Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Here’s my story of how you better be very careful with your purging. I walked through my garage a few months back and tossed this old carb into a trash bin. I had bought it to do an “Art project” by turning it into a lamp. That would have required lots of cutting and drilling holes for lamp fittings and wiring. I just never got around to finding the time to sit down and start the project. Started thinking about it, pulled it back out and ran the numbers. Holy hell. It’s from a 1966-‘67 Mustang K code with a manual trans. So I put it up on eBay…. 6

I’m actually restocking my old RC airplane stash I purged back in 1999-2000 when I got out of the hobby. I’ve bought an out of production new in box OS FT-300 twin cylinder engine with some of the funds. I had one years ago and only flew it twice before getting out of the hobby. One of the best damned sounding engines ever made. Engine is sitting upside down in the pic I’m trying to get a trainer completed by years end and get back in the air. Once I have it done, I’m going to get back on the Duck and other plastics and not touch anymore balsa kits until I’m a competent flyer. I’m going to focus on my flying abilities and not stock piling built airplanes. 5

ScottsGT Posted Sunday at 12:21 AM Posted Sunday at 12:21 AM I just cannot bring myself to tossing out perfectly good kits. I was going to list a bunch more on eBay this week and next, but with the holiday rush, I’m afraid to attempt shipping anything through any carrier. It’s all a poop show right now with packages arriving days late, left at wrong addresses, getting lost all together, crushed, etc… I’ve decided to just sell the 1/200 Arizona kit and my 1/72 Gato along with a few others. I bought all three 1/72 Connie kits, G Factor gear and some Fisher corrections for them. I’ll never build any of these. Shipping has gotten so expensive these days I’ll probably have to charge more for shipping than the kits will sell for. 1
